They are upset about the impact to his marketability? What an absolute monster Broner's management have made him. He's a good fighter, but they've inflated something beyond its true worth. Broner can do something with his career, but I fear he won't, because he is guided incorrectly. There's a bit of me that feels sorry for him, but a large portion of me that is glad we don't have to deal with what Broner could have become had this not have happened to him tonight.
That fight was not even close. I had Maidana winning every round. Lawrence Cole appeared to help Broner as much as possible by giving a long count in the 2nd round. The real judges had the fight more accurate than the Showtime commentators. Cole took a point away from Maidana for a headbutt after Maidana had Broner ready to go. Cole saved him once again. Cole did not take a point away from Broner for pushing, holding, forearming, and in the 11th round Broner hit Maidana clearly after the bell, which was the only punch that hurt Maidana. Again, this fight was not even close and Lawrence Cole prevented Maidana from winning by knockout!!! I have to give Brian Kenny a lot of credit for telling the commentators what fight were they watching, that the fight was not even close. I was afraid that we would have another robbery! You could tell that Hopkins was very upset that Maidana won............as he was not supposed to............... You could tell that Showtime was trying to hide the very illegal punch after the bell................
