Bandwaggons you were on that faltered/failed?

The Hasegawa Hyper Hovercraft. Got rather deflated. However he's got a title fight at feather against Burgos soon.
Alexander Alexev as well. Thought he'd dominate cruiser.

 

Yep, I fear Jeffries doesn't have the right mentality for the sport though (we know how well he takes criticism...). But Banbula is a good fighter and I think most would agree that if it was a 6 rounder like Jeffries thought, then he would have got the decision, even though he didn't look good (and the way Banbula fights, it's almost impossible to look sparkling against him).

Hopefully when he goes to train over in the States, he sticks with it and doesn't abandon the plan. He is, right now, very important to boxing being in the North East regularly and that is, selfishly, the main reason why I want him to succeed.

 

Lacy for sure, I thought he looked great against Reid, in hindsight Reid had no prep at all and was well past it.

Jamie Moore, but in fairness he seemed to end up just too tight at the weight. He was looking frighteningly strong and genuine world class for a period of time... but I felt he looked drained from the get-go against Rhodes. He still nearly won as well.

 

I was on the Kevin Mitchell wagon. Hopefully he comes back soon and proves he is still a very good fighter.

 

I also got caught up in the hype of Alexander before Kotelnik showed his limitations. The way the Americans were talking about him prior to that fight you would swear he was the second coming of Ray Robinson.

You heard anything about Crewe since his 2 losses? The one time I saw him his power at least looked above average, even if his opponent wasn't exactly great and I'd like to see if that was a one-off or whether he can build a good career.

 

By the way I wouldn't exactly say Mijares failed. 'Faltered' definitely but if you take it out of the ridiculous context this forum gave him where he was slated in to becoming an ATG he actually had a very good career and beat some good names convincingly only for judges to score ******ed cards against him and won the WBC title also getting onto p4p lists.

Alexeev is the prototype derailed hypetrain I'm sad to say. Great amateur, fantastic start to his career against softish opposition...and then completely destroyed in his first legit test. And...then again.

 

I heard he was moving down a weight. He was scheduled to appear on the Booth-Molitor undercard, but for whatever reason it didn't happen. But, he is scheduled to appear on a show in Sunderland on December 12th :good

 

When i was younger i used to watch all the eurosport cards so my favorite fighters at the time were Eric Morales and Shannon Briggs. Morales as we know became a legend, Briggs didnt quite live up to the hype although he is a sort of 2x champ and could possibly elevate himself this weekend.

 

i thought anthony peterson was the real deal i really thought he was 1 of the best kept secrets in boxing, but rios jail raped him the night they met.

Thinking back its embarassing to think I picked him over the classier, more experienced and more skillfull Bernard Hopkins.....

 

For me it was Joe Mesi so the less said about that the better!!
