You can't say ben didn't try his best and made a galent effort to get up the first time,just seemed he didn't have the power to hurt overeem but did land a couple on him.good on ya ben!

 

yes ben gets gassed very quickly.

his aim is to simply ko his opposition as soon as possible. it usually works for him.

 

Great jaw. Great courage. But Ben will be the first one to admit there's some lessons in that one.

Whichever way you look at it Overeem is a very well equipped wrecking ball.

 

Overeem should get off the growth

 

Ben appeared to be a nice bloke.
When he posted here, he never had anyhting mean to say about anyone, had a pretty humble and realistic aproach to things.

Even though he appeared to be a bit out of his depth in this fight, he didn't lay down and quit until he was well and truly done.
I hope he continues to do well. :good

 

Alot of courage by the GUVNA, bit of a shame with the draw -its kind of a lethal lottery in that you have to face Alistair Overeem in the 1st round.

Ben is one of the few fighters who i know in this country who fights better with a bit of weight on him.He started at 165kgs when he first came to the gym and now fights between 115-120kgs. He fought Slowinski twice and lost before gaining his revenge at the k1 oceania. Ironically when he fought slowinski the 1st time he was at 112kgs , the 2nd time he got down to the 108kg mark, 3rd time at 116kg and he knocked out slowinski in the 1st rd.



Nevertheless our Ben is only 24 and will come back bigger and better for the expierence at k1 korea.

 

What a fighting heart Ben Edwards has got. They were some lethal shots & he just kept gettin' up. Much respect for the man.

Losing to overeem aint nothing to be ashamed of..the blokes in top form at the moment and rank in top 5 heavyweight mixed martial artists easily...Overeem claims horse meat as his reasoning for his current frame..I wouldnt have a clue..I cant say hes roided as he has never failed a test..
