What Banks said was the same thing Abel was instructing GGG to do.

 

Is he wrong? Golovkin was in retreat from round 3 to round 12. If Golovkin is as sensitive as some of you guys are calling for Banks to be fired then he really is a sissy and I am right about him.

I agree tho with what banks said if GGG ups the pace and presses the action on ginger . Ginger will gas out and GGG will stop him

GGG never once backed up. He was boxing him in the centre of the ring and circling.

 

First of all, the Youtube clip has a clickbait name because Banks didn't say that. Secondly Banks is right on the money in what he says. His point was that the PERCEPTION that happens when the assumed bigger and more powerful fighter takes steps backwards in a fight, is that the crowd and judges will look at that and factor it in to their decision/opinion.
He wasn't saying who outboxed who, or who was scared or who got hurt...he was talking strategy and the perception.

 

The last thing that GGG needs is someone blowing smoke up his behind. Just say it like it is, don't let the fighter get too comfortable otherwise he'll develop bad habits.

Look how direct and frank Rob McCracken is with Anthony Joshua. He isn't a YES-man. He is there to tell it like it is.

A possibility for sure, but Golovkin would have to open up a hell of a lot more than he has in the last 24 rounds and he will be punished for it, it may work for Golovkin though, but it may also be his undoing absorbing even more punishment than in the 2nd fight.
