The reasons why Canelo said he wasn't interested in a 3rd GGG match were different than the reasons GGG gave. Canelo made statements like he sees no reason to fight GGG because he already conquered him and that he wanted to seek out new challenges. Many want to see Canelo in with younger fighters too. And fighting GGG a 3rd time to a lot of people including Canelo might feel like "been there done that".

Personally I don't quite agree with that because I think GGG even at 38 is probably a more difficult grueling match than most other fighters even guys Canelo's age. But despite Canelo's statements that he sees no need for a 3rd fight with GGG, he was still open to it because his team reached out to GGG to make the fight, especially after fighters like BJS and Plant didn't step up.

GGG when interviewed since the rematch expressed no desire to fight Canelo a 3rd time. So it's true that both fighters and their teams at times didn't fancy a 3rd match. DLH idiotically said he wanted to make GGG wait. More recently Banks refused to negotiate when approached by Team Canelo. Abel Sanchez has recently stated that he fears for GGG's safety if a 3rd match were to happen, Sanchez worries that GGG would get seriously hurt if he fought Canelo a 3rd time.

GGG has good reason to fear of a 3rd match with Canelo. He's never been beaten up like was by Canelo. He took a lot of damage, he knows a 3rd match could end his career. Canelo on the other hand is younger and can recover faster from another war with GGG. So it's smart for GGG to not want the 3rd fight.

Shadow,I don't remember it that way. GGG always wanted the rematch. Look at the interview after the rolls tune up fight. As for Canelo wanting to move on to new challenges by saying he already beat GGG twice, that just shows his lack of character, he knows he was lucky to get a draw and a win and he also knows that GGG will put him through it like nobody else will even when the judges practically guaranty he will get the decision if he remains standing. So Canelo's previous statements are diva type b.s.
As for Abel Sanchez, what he says now is irrelevant because he is no longer tied to GGG. If he becomes his trainer again then what he says will become relevant again. Of course his opinion does matter because he does know GGG the best, to those anylizing the situation.
I just think the whole virus thing through everything out of wack and GGG apparently needed more time with Banks to iron out any style changes before the big Canelo fight. GGG has never showed any fear of a 3rd Canelo fight.

He hardly made a dime as a fighter before canelo because he was knocking out unknowns for vacant titles. The first time he stepped up against Jacobs he struggled. If anything canelo salvaged his career by getting him his 2 highest pay days while his name still had a little mystique left

Hardly made a dime?? $30-40 million career purse is peanuts now I see. GGG has lost lots of power, he cant KO Canelo, he beat him twice already and has 1 draw and 1 loss on his record, even if he wins 12 rounds, he wont get the nod

100% correct but dont forget Bob Bennett & the NSAC. Clenelo needs all this before he steps in ring with GGG clen is 5 points up before the first round bell rings as we all know

So you think GGG should thank Ginger for blatantly robbing him twice already huh ??? 85% of boxing people say GGG has already beaten Ginger twice but got robbed. Ginger is the coward that refused to fight GGG in MSG Ny I guess Oscar's afraid to risk it without the backing of The NSAC & Vegas boxing Some champion huh Ginger Pollo

Golovkin's entire career is a primal example of corruption and nonsense social media hype. The fact that Brook is his biggest win to date says enough about this farce.

The " mentally ill" fans as you say are the ones that follow Oscar & his Ginger Chicken you know the left over Mayweather brigade like you fools
GGG offered GingerChicken a fair fight in MSG where all great champions fight. A fight with no corruption, no biased judges & far away from the cesspit of boxing Vegas & the NSAC. A 100 % straight down the middle fight to really determine who the better man is. BUT The cowards said NO!!!! Its Vegas or no fight. Can you not see why ??? or are you all just blind lemmings ????

Meh it's not a great fight at this point. I'm surprised Golovkin hasn't signed up for it though. He didn't mind getting jobbed for cash earlier on in his career.
