That fight happened at Cruiser and it's common knowledge that Banks was having problems getting under 200 at that point. If you watch the fight, you will see that the KO can be attributed more to weakness and fatigue than to any chin issues.
Yep, I'd have to agree that there is a strong possibility that Mitchell will be more patient and try to box with Banksblood), though I'm not sure how good of an idea that is. Another possibility, as I've mentioned in other threads, is to turn it ugly and try to maul Banks with excessive hitting and holding, though Banks could easily counter this by simply antcipating the lunge and countering, or simply push off , create space and fire a combination. My point is that Mitchell's options are really limited and the only way he'll win, IMO, is with "shortcuts" taken during training but this will reveal itself at the weigh-in. Be wary if his physique is noticeably more muscular however...
