Yeah you could make that case, particularly as i think Montiel was legitimately dropped in the fight (Uppercut) but it was not called as a KD, plus i think Montiel lost to Z Gorrez but got a gift.

Moreno's has now beaten Sidorenko 2x, Sidorenko beat Poonsawat, Moreno just beat Cermeno who has two wins over Mijares, those are good wins imo.

The rematch is set for September, I believe. I know they are fighting for sure, just can't remember the date. Should be good.

    Who saw Cermeno/Valdez?

It was an undercard fight, but they definitely stole the show!

That division is freaking stacked. Too bad they don't get more exposure.

Agreed. The lower weight divisions as a whole don't get enough exposure at all.

118 is looking great. Got some top quality established fighters and some good young guys coming through.

Is Bakhtin the Russian who is fighting out of Japan? If so then he really isn't that good. Only seen a couple of his fights but i really wasn't impressed. Jerky, ungainly style, not much skill, hittable. Nowhere near in the same league as the others you mentioned in the division.

Ive been saying this for a while. Everyone talks about JW but i think this division is deeper, and even a little more solid at the top.

The only way this division will be noticed is if there will be a mini-Tyson among them.

Very good fighters down there. Love to see Montiel at the top. Past his prime yet he is still a great champ. Cought probally the best fighter at that weight for a huge KO.
