Two of the greatest Bantamweights of all time here. Harada the more dynamic and talented of the two, but a bit of a 'flash in the pan'. On the other hand, Ortiz the solid workman like fighter, almost the model of consistency and longevity.

    But what succeeds?

    15 rounds x 3 minutes duration. Ten-point must scoring.

Remember if you provide no analysis or reasoning your vote, or pick, will not count.

    Closing date: 3rd Jan

I was trying to find some sort of Kalule based analogy or example to articulate my thoughts here, but no, i've failed to conjure one up.

Harada on workrate will get the job done most likely.

Manuel on his day would probably stop Harada similar to how Medel did it when Harada tried to go in for the kill, but best on best, I think Harada would box more and take a close points win.

9-6-ish, give or take a point or two.

    Great Fight !

Harada because of his workrate, speed, stamina, versatility and strength on the inside.

I like Ortiz and I thought both were very versatile fighters......but Harada is slightly the better fighter in terms of ability in my opinion...

    Harada by decision

Harada eking it out simply by being the busier of the two. I have an older friend who swears by Ortiz but I gotta go with my head here. Another very close fight in this tourney.

Yeah i'll take Harada as well, plenty of action here, Harada might find himself outhustled inside at times and would use his skills of foot and hand to get in and out with combos that do the scoring as an answer to that. Not good that probably the greatest bantamweight champion of all time is looking like having an early exit from the tourney.

I'm gonna go for Harada as well but this is a tough one to pick. I see Ortiz meeting him head on which should suit Harada but Manuels body shots could take their toll in the later rounds. Harada can't be reckless and has to control the pace which he can do, he's a master at knowing when to turn it on.

I'm not sure if Harada is that much busier. Ortiz was pretty workmanlike and would get inside and be busy.

I think Ortiz would get inside regularly and would boss it inside as he was the stronger man, and had great positioning on the inside that boosted his defence and offence. I think in the inside he would be banging that body of Harada's and really tieing him up on the inside to keep him there, stuck in the mud.

When Harada would get on the outside I do think he bosses it with his fast feet and snappy jabs with follow up combo's.

I think generally though, Ortiz would draw him inside enough to take a very close decision.

    Ortiz split decision.

Ha, a great fight it would be. Manuel Ortiz is truly one of the greatest. But then I think about Harada fighting Eder Zofre the way he did.

My pick is Harada by decision.
