George was not perfect. He was lunging a little too much, and got caught late. But working that jab all night paid dividends. He was defensively sound and made sure Teo would respect that counter left hook. I can see George studying what worked well with Loma, they both didnt allow teo to load up by going straight in with a jab then crowding his space straight into a clinch. His head movement was good which threw teo's timing off. All of that wouldnt have been possible if it wasnt for that shocker of a right in the first. Great gameplan, a boxing clinic to expose teo.
Needs to tighten up his left hook a bit, Lopez didn't take advantage of his hand position and sloppy hooking mechanics by changing the arc of his right hand but others might. Great fight by Kambosos though, what I liked about him was that he didn't stop moving laterally and that was the key to putting a stop to sudden explosive punches by Lopez.
Clinic? Nah man. This fight was razor thin. Teo played himself by coming out so hard. He should have fought how he normally does. Kambosos was game and I'd been saying it for months, while so many were saying 1st rd KO and other bizarre predictions. Good fight and I'd like to see it again. Lopez seems to be done with the weight however.
Two things he didn’t step backwards and studied Teo’s tendencies and threw a jab as soon as Teo wanted to throw a hook. Secondly he landed a lot of body punches that rd by rd slowed Teo down. Not perfect but clearly his team prepared him for every possibility.
