He's too reckless, and is packing glass. Josh will catch him with a check right hook and put him don for the count.
He's very strong but he's also wild and the skill level difference between him and JT is night and day. That said, JT is levels above pretty much everyone else sans one or two in that regard as well. But Ivan B does have thunder in both of his gloves and he can take you out in HL reel fashion with either hand so JT will have to make sure he doesn't get caught flush with anything stupid. I like Ivan but he's too open and is Tailor made for Taylor(pardon the pun) Should be a good fight while it lasts though but Josh inside 8.
Already discussed on another thread but, again, Baranchyk has the power to be dangerous early. If Taylor is not caught in the first half of the fight it moves decidedly in favor of Taylor, who has the better overall technique and defensive skills. Baranchyk's downfall, if he doesn't catch Taylor early will be his lack of defense and stamina. But make no mistake, this is not a gimme for Taylor by any means.
I enjoy watching Baranchyk fight, but Taylor is gonna put it on him. Ivan is there to be hit and loads up way too much. Everything he throws is a fastball, and he can be downright wild. I think Taylor will pick him apart, he is really, really good. Could be a really fun scrap though.
I like Taylor and hope he wins the whole thing if he gets past Ivan. I just don't think he gets past Ivan
Baranchyk will gass out throwing his heavy punches, and Taylor will stop him. Well, maybe it will be Taylor by UD, but Baranchyk has almost no chance to win this fight (and I'm not even talking about robberies).
He's not that good, Taylor should win this, though his durability is still a question mark for me after the Postol fight so I wouldn't be shocked if he gets stopped.
Former gym mate David ''The Hayemaker'' Haye reckons JT is very tough and JT does comes from a tough place and he has those Scottish hard man psycho eyes and you can tell he has a real temper on him lol This content is protected Word on the street is he bashed up Shawn Porter in the gym, or at least gave a very good account of himself and that was back when JT had only had a handful of fights Excerpt from a Jan, 2017 article 'Josh Taylor, the fast-rising Edinburgh starlet in the McGuigan stable headed by Carl Frampton, is taking his inspiration and plenty of freely given advice from Scottish legend Ken Buchanan. Taylor, the Commonwealth Games champion, takes on Mexico's Alfonso Olvera on the undercard of the Frampton-Leo Santa Cruz rematch in Las Vegas having knocked out all his first seven professional opponents. There are reports of the light-welterweight seriously troubling former world champion Shawn Porter in sparring here and he says: 'If I can emulate Mr Buchanan by coming back to America and taking world titles home to Scotland I will be very happy.' But Ivan B, Rougarou and JT are all very heavy handed and capable of hurting anyone at 140.
