A small one. He didn't get wins over Spencer Fisher and Dennis Siver by being a bum :deal I'm not going to say he will win but he has a chance... a small one though. I hope he wins as number one he's English and number two he seem's like a pretty nice hard working guy. Lynchburg
I'm fully behind Pearson. It's a tall order and Barboza can hit with all his limbs, however he likes to set himself. If Pearson uses his boxing and his feet and is wise not to trade/engage too much then he can rack up the points. He'd be wise to also threaten with the takedown just to keep Barboza offset.
I like Pearson, but I think he's in for a tough night of it. From the little I've seen of Barboza, he'll need a career best performance to win this one.
Threatening with the takedown is good, and I'd also like to see Pearson try and pressure him early. He can't let Barboza get into his groove with the leg kicks and keep the fight at range. Barboza has a real height and reach advantage here and that's only going to make things easier for him.
Really like Pearson seems a top guy but theres nothign he does outstanding imo. The thing hes got going for him is a good engine and heart. A small version of forest without the size advantage.
On paper he has 3 inches on him. Pearson must adjust to his height and range much quicker than he did against Miller. I think Andre Winner will offer some good sparring as a poor mans Barboza.
