Any fellow ESB members going to the Garcia vs. Peterson fight this weekend @ the Barclays Center? I am making the trip from DC and ill be at the fight. I am staying with my folks in Queens but the day of fight we will be in Brooklyn pretty much from late morning throughout the fights that evening. Anyway, if any of you all will be there and want to link up, put a face with a name, etc... let me know.
i wish man...havent been to a fight since cotto/martinez....told myself i was gonna get to this fight or wlad at the garden but too busy...hopefully ill get to something soon
I hear you. I went to Vegas for Floyd vs. Maidana II, but couldn't fade going to the mega fight against Pacquiao in May, so I told myself I cant miss this fight, as NYC is only 4 hrs. max from DC. Plus I have never seen Garcia fight in person. Seen Lamont fight 2X so far in person here in the District. No worries though man, maybe next time
always wanted to go see floyd in vegas hes my fave...or at least one of my top 3...but the timing never worked....funny ive seen pac in vegas against hatton and cotto though lol
I wasn't able to get tickets for the Maidana rematch, as me and wifey (and a couple of our folks) went and I pretty much paid for the whole trip. I didn't have an extra $800 for nose bleed seats. I have seen Floyd about 5 times in person, so it was no big deal. We were in MGM though right above the fight floor in the closed circuit viewing, which was cool. I had no intentions of going to Vegas last September, but I was at the Maidana rematch press conference here in DC and he was cool enough to voluntarily sign my TMT hat I had on (he literally told his bodyguard to ask him if I wanted the autograph). I purchased flight and hotel room, a few weeks after, lol!
