I know that some people have been having some success over there, but is there any money really to be made there? Paulie is trying to get Conor over there and wherever that fight goes makes money. Both fighters' takes would be bigger than UFC but is there really money in the sport over all? I wonder what the televisedd coverage in 5 to 10 years is like. Would it need a show like Ultimate Fighter or the Contender to gain some fan base?
They make a lot in illegal fighting so I can well believe there's good money.granted it will be corrupt though.
No money. They are looking for names only. My boy won the heavyweight tourney. Their guy was Sam shewmaker that they were pushing and Arnold Adams outboxed his ass. Sam has already fought twice since then and they putting Arnold on the shelf. They told him people don’t want to see guys with his style. They want face first, rock em, sockem robots if you aren’t a name. Look at the faces they promote. Retread ufc fighters with limited skill and no proper strategy like beck Rawlings and Kendall grove. You would think since they represented their sport as safer then mma and boxing they would want some people who use an educated strategy. Not just wing wild shots, break their hands, and be proud of it. If you are a name they got money. If not and you fight smart, no.
It seems like this bare knuckle boxing is getting bigger in the US. If they find a way to overcome all the legal obstacles (isn't it even illegal in most of the states?) there will be money over there at some point. Especially with ("normal") professional boxing being as boring as it is now.
Now they make this a sport when the King of Street Fighting, Kimbo Slice, is on the stairway to heaven. A moment for the Kang please! This content is protected
From what ive seen, i was hugely impressed with the BKFC. This is an organisation to do for boxing what the UFC has done for mixed martial arts. Very entertaining, short and sharp fights, huge KOs, and the 10-15 minute no gloved fights bring a different dynamic to the sport. Expect to see butterbean types holding their own with the best boxers in the world. I have a keen interest in this new form of the sport and will be following closely.
It’s no good because you can get a permanent eye injury or lose teeth easily, boxing is actually safer for facial damage but not brain damage. Long term boxing is the place to be.
there’s research that shows bare-knuckle fighting might actually be safer. This is because the bones in a man’s head are stronger than the bones in a man’s fists, meaning a bare-knuckle fighter risks damaging himself more than his opponent if fires punches as hard as he can at the other man’s head. A boxer whose fists are protected by gloves can land blows to the head with full force—adding to the number of boxers who end up with serious head injuries and dementia. https://www.dmarge.com/2018/06/bare-knuckle-fighting.html
As for their being money in it, i think it has potential, was really impressed with the production on BKFC, i really enjoyed it, It took a while for the UFC to start making good money this could be the same. its a better crossover sport for mma guy's to take on boxers also. I really can see potential in it.
yes bare knuckle is safer on the brain but not the for impact damage on the outside, so a guy can fight once bare knuckle and get his eye busted and he can't fight anymore to make money. but if a guy boxing can fight 20 times and make some cash and doesn't get eye damage and doesn't have bad brain damage he can keep on fighting. the gloves keep a fighting career going longer than bare knuckle. that's why any top fighter who fights bare knuckle is stupid because one fight can end a career, you can lose an eye, get your ear torn off, lose your teeth. and yes it happens in boxing but very rarely.
Call it that bare knuckle fighting-not boxing then. Tua, Tyson Foreman, Shavers , Liston & on a smaller level Julian Jackson Tommy Hearns all had the ability & skill to throw punches that would simply end a fighter's career, period. The undoing of Tex Rickard.
