wat a game plan by naz:rofl:rofl dont train> watch the fight > konck barerra out. my advise to Naz "your not 1 of the 71 boxers that knocked barerra out, you are 1 of the 70 who failed to knock barerra out"
its labelled as a dq but in reality marco got knocked the **** out i dont know how on earth he got up from the beautiful counter right but he was gone so it didnt matter
word! many people started writing marco off esp when he lost the immediate rematch. but boy did he bounce back to prove everyone wrong!
mab beat em but in no means did he **** him fu*kboy. both had classic exchanges & were apart of one the greatest trilogys of all time.
Why is it weird? Jones was a good fighter. MAB acheived many great things in his career but head to head Jones proved to simply be better than him.
:good You speak the truth. The Morales v MAB decisions are very debatable. But what is clear as day is that Morales beat Pac and Jones decisively and MAB was utterly destroyed by both whilst every player was prime.
Remembering MAB get anihilated by Jones and Pac does make me sleep easier at night. Thanks for asking.
Barrera getting stopped by Junior Jones was the greatest thing that ever happened to him, other than beating Prince Naseem, Erik Morales, and achieving status as a three weight world champion during his HOF, ATG career that is still going today. Oscar was stating the obvious when he said Barrera was one of the greatest fighters of all time, but he was on point with why. "Not only has he faced all these top opponents, but when he has a defeat, he always comes back and rises to the occasion. That sets him apart from a lot of other fighters." - Oscar De La Hoya on Marco Antonio Barrera. Long live MAB! :happy
anyone who knows anything about boxing wich clearly isnt your case had Barrera winning the first and the last fight,if you were actually paying atention to the fight instead of focusing only on Morales jockstrap you wouldve seen it too. and if any of those two owns the other its Barrera cause everytime he needed to make a comeback he used Morales as a punching bag.
After Barrera was defeated by Junior Jones the second time, he was made a huge underdog against Morales in a fight that he arguably won. I felt he did, and so did the majority of ringside observers. In any event, this confirmed Marco's status as one of the best fighters in the world, who would go on to beat Prince Naseem, being the first fighter ever to do so, and to also avenge his defeat to Morales in a rematch. He had now overtaken Morales in popularity. This was until 2003, where he was shockingly defeated by young fighter Manny Pacquiao, seemingly the beginning of the end for Marco. Morales took the third fight thinking Barrera was done, but he was wrong, and he came off second best during most of the exchanges. Barrera had gone 2-1 over his greatest rival, and in the process, became a three weight world champion. Remarkable career, remarkable fighter.
