    Can't remember okane being this wild. His body work is shocking by his standards. The bullying might get to ryder but with this defence it's not getting that far.

    O'Kane isn't doing very well here I thought Ryder was brash but he is doing well here.

    Rd 3 - Is O'Kane always this basic? For a supposedly decorated amateur not much about his style. He's winding up massive hayemakers Fight Night style. He just seems to think his size will be enough for him tonight. Ryder's activity is a lot lower this round. Jim Watt thinks this could eb tactic - allowing O'Kane to waste his energy. Ryder is picking him off with great, clean counters. Real classy stuff. He's not even thrown half as many punches but he's made everyone count.

    First I've really seen of O Kane seems very wild, thought a commonwealth gold medalist would have more skills. Is he always like this?

    For his complete lack of nuance, he's a really physical guy O'Kane... if his stamina holds up there's a chance he could get to Ryder late.

    Rd 4 - O'Kane a lot slower this round, he's not pressing forward but even then Ryder picks a lovely overhand right. This is tremendous economical boxing from Ryder. He's making O'Kane pay for every one of his wild lunges. Even at distance O'Kane is winding up a right hand that just isn't going to land. Ryder's also showed immense calm and poise. And no point in these first 4 rounds has he been flustered by O'Kane's attempted bullying tactics. He's stayed focus throughout.

    I wonder if O'Kane has bulked up too much for the pros. No speed at all. He must have had some, back in the amateurs.

    Rd 5 - O'Kane lands perhaps his most significant punch of the night so far as Ryder comes onto a straight right. Ryder's more than happy to let O'Kane lead and then countering over his slower hands. This round has been the slowest, Ryder is standing off but O'Kane isn't as eager to lead off and we're seen a few lulls in action.

    You could make a case fo O'Kane that round, Ryder didn't do much.

    Rd 6 - This is a much different fight now, activity levels have been low for a few rounds. O'Kane either doesn't have the energy to continue his earlier tactics or he's trying something new. Either way, he' still getting peppered by counters. Ryder is in no rush at all, he's not rushing anything. Jim Watt correctly points out the straight right has worked for O'Kane but nothing much else. Even with the right hand he's loaded it up at times and that's achieved nothing.

    Round 7 - The speed differential between these two is silly. O'Kane's long punches look like they're been pushed out with considerable effort and Ryder's having no problem slipping them. O'Kane's jab hasn't been a factor at all in this fight. Watt reckons the lead right hand works fine for O'Kane, it's just when he throws it off the jab that he's telegraphing it. Nothing really happened that round.
