Exactly, funnily enough I reckon Lee would be best placed out of the three to get a world title fight on favourable terms but I reckon Macklin beats him if they square off against each other

Lee does stand a bit stiff might fall into Macklins style, whereas i think barker Lee is 50/50 But i thinker Barker can out box Macklin but could Macklins Come forward approach make it difficult for Barker? who knows?

I bet all of the German fans would be confident that any of Sylvester/Sturm/Zbik
    would beat any of Lee/Barker/Macklin!

In fact I don't think too many Germans discuss this in the European forum!
Probably because of the Golovkin fans who are chasing them out of ESB :)
I think sometimes neutral fans dislike of German officials who run the boxing there, influence our judgement of the German fighters. I hate that 4 out every 5 fighters that Sturm and Sylvester fight don't have a chance. But I myself am guilty of underestimating them a little. Sturm probably would give most of the top 10 a great fight and surely would be competitive. I can't say he would lose to Golovkin or N'kam or Pirog but equally I can't say he would win either. Problem is he is hiding from difficult opponents. From the Germans prospective the likes of Macklin/Lee/Barker are probably less daunting than having to face the likes of Pirog/Golovkin.
Note: no point in even mentioning Martinez here.

I think Macklin will come a cropper in Germany(i hope he doesn't),and then i think it will be Lees turn to travel to Germany for a crack at that title as he is ranked at no.3,and regardless of biased referees or judges Lee will win ko as he has the power and has fought in Germany before and wont be fazed,Barker is not proven yet so i cant say.

When you talk about Lee's power, you don't mean at a world class level, do you? Because he at world class his power is mediocre.

Let's put it this way for everyone here - Brian Vera is probably better and a harder puncher than all three. And that's pathetic. All the fighters in the poll are hilariously overrated by everyone here, and within the next year that will be definitively proven.

If Barker isn't proven then neither is Lee or Macklin.

TBF you are probably right, they all need to be given a chance to see how far they can go, but this thread is a question of "who has the best chance" not "who will".:good

LEE has a ko record of 19/25 which is up on 76%,which i think is world class level when you look at the kos,a letf hook to dream of.

Lee's a good puncher clearly, but its a bit premature to actually go that step further and say he's a world class puncher. His power is proven up until a level.

His power may well only be decent against guys at the top level who are a. better and b. generally more durable. Thats probably likely infact if you look at how many times he put leather on McEwan's chin and how Vera came through him.

He's got much more snap than Barker and Macklin though, and more speed. Barker is the most skilled boxer of the three though, regardless of what took place in the amateurs. Little things like the fact he can bend at the waist to avoid punches makes him a little more fluid than Lee who is as stiff as a board. Barker generally does everything pretty well but nothing superbly. Macklin does everything not at all well and nothing superbly. Except maybe heart and desire. Lee's a bit on an enigma to me, I don't see a natural fighter in him despite the fact he did show new found grit in the McEwan fight. Something doesn't sit right with me about the way he goes about things, and flaws wise he's pretty terrible defensively and anywhere up close.

His main flaws are, hes inconsistent, along with a flawed defense. Ive seen a lot of Andy's fights and he does seem to switch off during parts of them.

He's inconsistent in the sense he doesn't work that hard a lot of the time and allows his opponent into the fight. If you're taking time off you've got to use your legs or feint, you can't do nothing and expect to get any respect and sure enough he doesn't. But the main thing is that defence. I'd take inconsistent work rate if he could defend himself. He was definitely offended when McEwan missed. Steward isn't a great person to solve those issues either. Not for Lee anyway, he's not a Hearn's/Lewis level talent where they can just dominate on the basis of his strengths and using them to its fullest. Sure that will squeeze more performance out of him and has done, but its not an improvement thats going to take into the upper echelons of this division.

No, it's really, really not. He's a strong domestic level puncher, much like a Wayne Elcock or Wayne Alexander or Carl Johanesson.

I'm confident wayne alexander is in a totally different league to elcock and lee punch power wise. The man was a beast, serious hitter at whatever level imo although he never done it at world class you could see his power would carry up levels
