yeh he played for East Barnet Old Grammerians who our usually the worst team in each league. Think I won a game 18-1 agaisnt them before. He used to play in there 4th team when I was in our 6th team playing agaisnt them, in the 3s now for my team Winchmore Hill and heard he doesnt play anymore, obviously taking the boxing 100% serious. He was central midfield just used to be really fast and hustle everone of the ball, had no technical skill though. this lad i didn't like on my team played midfield always kicked off, decided not to tell him who Barker was, nothing happened though.
i cant seem to work out if you are a decent fella who likes the wind up now and again or a total **** old man who spends way too much time on the internet insulting people for kicks. if its the former surely the bit in bold is a bit heavy on?
I'm not sure - I think he's trying to tempt Barker into proving it. If Barker keeps on the move behind his jab, Matt will struggle. But if he stands with Matt in the middle rounds, he's getting a beating for as long as he does. Why do people think Barker's chinny though?
Barker could have been DQ'd for that with a different ref! The amateur code isn't always the greatest indicator. I've got a video of Bute getting knocked out as a amateur and he's done ok!
I think it has a lot more to do with the Conroy McIntosh fight, where Barker was dropped twice(heavily) and on the verge of being stopped. Fair play to him though he battled through and managed to win that fight. The Samuels knockdown was only a flash one. BTW [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fjPRn080nA&feature=related[/ame] , hurling is a sport(like boxing) where most of the time you are guaranteed a very good spectacle. Association Football is a sport where 90% of the time you'd be better off watching the highlights because most of the game is a bore.
that stoppage is kinda disturbing actualy, Samuels looks terrible on the floor, ref didnt seem to bothered.
