who the **** said proksa is a bit like hamed and martinez,oh **** ive just spat me coffee all over laptop,****ing great analysis,he sounds like that craney knob.

anyhow, barker beats proksa all day long.
the 1st time proksa moved to anywhere near world level, golovkin,he got his arse handed to him in a big way,i see proksa lasting a bit longer than hope, not much mind

It's an ok fight but Proksa was really battered by Golovkin so Barker needs to win convincingly, which I'm sure he's capable of, to put himself back into that World title mix.

This will be a test for Barker.

Proksa can take a punch, he ain't going to be blown away easily. Even against Golovkin, we saw the back of him early enough but it ain't like he didn't hold a shot. He took a lot of shots, reasonably well. Nobody can afford to take shots off Golovkin. Barker isn't even 20% of the puncher Golovkin is.

Also I think Proksa hits hard enough and is unorthodox enough to give Barker quite a few issues with his conventional boxing style.

Proksa is too easy to hit for Barker to have too many problems. He will control the fight and win pretty much every round, maybe even forcing a late stoppage.

Yeah, odd comment. Between Proksa and Barker it's crystal whose jab is more effective.

    purephase and Intentionalbutt...
you made me watch Martinez-Barker all over again.

I am sorry but Barker's jab is lousy. Decent speed, but no power. Martinez took dozens of his jabs straight on his nose without flinching. Barkers weapon is his straight right.

I would say absolutely none of Barker's punches are describable as "lousy".

Does anyone know what Proksa typically weighs on fight night?

He always seems to look really small for a middleweight, seems like someone who could easily drop a division, maybe even two.

Think Barker wins, I think Proska showed great courage against Golovkin and handled himself well just met a really good fighter.

Barker though is a good fighter, I expect him to use dismantle Proska and maybe even stop him as he's looking stronger now but a points decision is a safe bet.

Good fight, Proksa is good to watch. I see Barker being too much though and hopefully going on to face Pirog, Sturm or Geale hopefully.

I think he was 165 lb at fight night when he fought Golovkin. That is really small for a middleweight. I am not sure why he chooses to compete at MW. Possibly because he thinks his body will grow into it, possibly because it enables him to take fights at short notice, possibly because he reacts very badly to dehydration. Just imagine if he could loose weight like Chavez Jr - Proksa could compete at 140 lb !
