Barnett Thinks Strikeforce HW Div. Has The Edge UFC's

    “The Strikeforce heavyweight division is really phenomenal right now, I guess one way to look at it would be look at me, Fedor, Alistair, Bigfoot, Arlovski, and Werdum, and look at our records and stack them up. If you count all the wins that we have under our belts that far surpasses the top five guys in the UFC’s amount of fights even.

    Granted, just because you don’t have a lot of fights that doesn’t mean you’re not a great fighter, but I definitely think we’ve got a big edge with that kind of veteran, international talent.”

    With that kind of time spent in the ring and the cage, we’ve fought under all kinds of different rules, we’ve been in all kinds of different wars, and I think it’s going to pay off when the people tune in to go and watch us fight”

    SF has vets. UFC has the new generation.

    Fedor, Barnett, Bigfoot, Serge and Alistair are legit all rounders. However I think the UFC has the better crop.

    Nah i dont see it. Apart from JDS and possibly Cain im not sold at all on the UFC's heavy division. Brock has much to prove as does Carwin. The heavys in SF have all already got their stripes.

    Yeah but the new breed have made their name off the old breed who got their stripes i.e. Brock beat a vet in Couture. Carwin beat a vet in Mir. Cain beat a vet in Nog. JDS has beat on many old timers. The new breed haven't got legacies set in stone but they've made their name off the old breed.

    Mir's a vet himself. Brock over Couture means nothing to me. The only guys i give their dues are JDS and Cain as definite prospects.

    Lesnar is starting to get to the point of being really really good but his belief in his own chin kinda scares me. Carwin is a total fool. He has no gas and has nothing but strength to rely on. Cain, I don't really understand the hype nothing more then a wrestler do nothing dryhumper. His ko of Nog has more to due with Nog being totally shot then Cain being a good striker. JDS can become great but his inability to put a finish to Big Country is abit disappointing. Out of the 4 I think he has the most ability and greatest chance of being great. Mir he is the most inconsistent HW of all time. The guy can be great in 1 fight and the next look like a total shitbag then next and back in top form the next and so on and so on.

    What I wouldn't give to see the top 5 men in each division HW duel between Strikeforce and UFC.. Countries do this in amateur boxing, why the **** not :smoke

    Strikeforce has the far better and more proven HW fighters.
