Barney Ross vs. Billy Graham

    I'll take Ross, because i like him! I don't think there's actually too much to analyse, two very skilled boxers, chess match, the one who pulls out the stops and does better wins. I like Ross over the stretch to do it.

    I think Graham may have been a bit better technically/defensively, but Ross was more aggressive and had a better all-around offense.

    Ross was one of those fighters who stepped up the pace and pulled out all the stops when the fight was one the line. Conversely, Graham tended to not take the initiative at key moments in fights and often did just enough to fall short in big fights. Based on that, I'd give Ross the edge.

    I saw Billy Graham in his prime several times...Great boxer, infighter,and had an iron chin...However Barney Ross Could do whatever Graham could do as well.. Ross would win on the basis of his frequent, and frantic flurries, and capture most of the rounds,winning a majority decision...Methinks....
