Watching some people pinpoint the sarcasm of some other people is like watching some one-legged Chihuahuas attempting to hump some Great Danes. Funny as ****.

All the trash talking that Ross indulged in might have caused a lesser fighter than Mayorga to lose his cool, but the Tunneyesque discipline of Mayorga would assert itself and a clinical exhibition of boxing mastery would put the crude slugger Ross in his place for a lopsided points win.

 

Sugar Ricardo Mayorga's fleet footedness and precise, technically apt combination punching would be too much for the crude and bullish Ross.

 

Ross may very well have been the strongest and most rugged of his era, but Mayorga was the most adept and skilled of his. This is all about styles.

 

Ross too wild and old-fashioned for a master like Mayorga, who was an accurate composite puncher who faced the best of his era.

 

I don't know but Mayorga is a big WW and Ross not a particularly big LW. Mayorga is unrefined but he beat an elite level boxer in Forrest and some thought he beat another in Spinks, both Spinks and Forrest are very underrated

 

not just styles but eras. mayorga competed, no dominated, in what is typically regarded as the most stacked welterweight era of all time. ross barely competed in a passable era for 147 pounders and certainly didn't dominate. no comparison in my opinion
