I read about Ross outboxing one of his challengers(Ceferino Garcia) with just the left hand. He had injured his right but the left was so educated he won. Brain over brawn and a sweet jab, throw the right occasionally and fient with it. Barney wasnt quite Benny Leonard because he couldn't punch but in ring IQ he was there.
