Barrera doesnt seem like an ******* at all to me. I think he just dont take no ****, if anything hes a smart guy he just seems like a serious dude.

I think he still has enough to be competetive against Soto.

U can take me as u want but I take u as a joke after ur 3-0 comment.. How can " I " take u as a serious boxing fan when u think Barrera won the second fight. Let's forget about the 1st and 3rd fight for a moment.. U really believe that barrera won the 2nd?

U know u didnt see the fight. U nutsack probably didnt even drop back then.

I had it two points for Barrera. I felt the majority of rounds were razor close, and the sentimental favorite was given the benefit of the doubt not only by the commentators but also his rabid fan base. Morales has always been held in high esteem by the hardcore Boxing fan in the same manner that Duran is favored over the likes of Ray Leonard. They represent the blue collar guy.

I think the official 2-1 is about right. I thought Barrera edged him in the first fight but they gave it to the wrong guy,and i feel Morales won the 2nd fight again wrong decision. The judges got it right the 3rd time.

of course it makes sense and that's one other reason that boxing is ****ed up because is all about the money.. promoters managers and most boxers care more about the money than fighting the best... barrera is old and past his prime but he has a big name and will sell a lot more than any up and coming fighter so he'll give the champion a good payday a victory over a ATG boxer to put on his resume and also an easy night with no thread of losing

    :hat

I dont know man, Barrera may have more left in the tank than we think...But like many others have stated, it would be a good idea if he took another tune up first. Not too mention that Soto, at 135, isnt quite the same fighter as he was at 126/130...He will be alot more fresher of course, but i dont think it'll be an easy night for him against Barrera out there.

And Ivy give it a rest, as good as Marquez is, he isn't at Barrera's level...Barrera has the moire solid wins, also a 3 weight champ, and even tho he was past it, he gave Marquez all he could handle, who was prime or near prime.

While Barrera and Morales may have slightly better resumes, I actually prefer JMM to both.

That being said, all three are/were awesome to watch.

I really like both fighters I'd love Barrera to be the 1st to 4 but i also wanna see Soto propel himself to greatness if he loses he'll be considered a fraud

shame not to many guys will fight Soto and he has to resort to an old guy fight

marquez better than barrera? no way higher weight title? marquez started at 126 and barrera started at 115 big difference and he shuda had titles in the 115 and 118 divisions but no champions would fight him and he was gonna face jesus chavez for the ightweight title but chavez had to pull out with injury so being the fighter he is he just trimmed down and faced juarez and instead of winnin a close good fight and go hidin he gave him a rematch then showed him the difference

also dont forget that fora few years barrera refused to fight for titles

I have Morales up 2-1 in the trilogy. I thought Morales won the 2nd fight.

An 07 Marquez, when he fought barrera ,was nowhere near his prime. Most people seem to feel that when Barrera fought pacman in 03 that he was in his prime ( although i feel that he slightly past it) . Well Marquez when he fought Pacman in 04 was at his prime also and showed signs of slippage after, so both these guys started slipping around similiar time..

It was a pretty evenly matched up fight between two great fighters who were a bit past their best, but, still a handful for anybody..
