Mexican legend Marco Antonio Barrera worked as a color commentator for TV Azteca during the Manny Pacquiao vs Antonio Margarito pay-per-view clash which took place this past Saturday night in Arlington, Texas. During the fight Marco gave his props to Pacquiao and made some good comments about the man he regards as the pound-for-pound king. Pacquiao exploded on the scene when scored an upset knockout of Barrera in November of 2003. The had a rematch in October of 2007, which Barrera lost by decision. 'Manny Pacquiao is the best fighter in the world. Usually a good big man will always beat a good little man, but Pacquiao is a great little man. It is amazing how he can go up in weight and beat all of these huge guys,'' said the former three time world champion Barrera. 'I wanted Margarito to win. I mean my heart was with him and I thought he had a pretty good chance, but after Pacquiao cut him - I knew it was over. Manny is a gentleman, because he had Tony hurt in the 10th round and he could have finish him, but he let Tony survive. He showed his class and that is why he is the best. I am not ashamed to be on his list of victims because he is great,'' Barrera concluded
Damm that takes alot for a boxer to say that, i think people have finally relised manny is something special, i didnt think much of manny (not a hater just not so impressed), however this guy is the man, the only thing pisses me off about pac are his ******ed fans but nevermind.
No, I meant you insist on making yourself look a fool without any help. I post Marco Antonio Barrera's thoughts on the fight the other night, and because he dared give Manny props, who is both a threat to Mayweather and not black, you weren't having any of it and had to start mouthing off. Reevaluate yourself, PP.
Props to my boy Barrera...He is right, theres no shame in losing to the fighter of this past decade. Nobody in the last 2 decades, would of done what Manny did to a prime 126 lbs Barrera that night.
pac does have a very diistinguished list of victims. big props to barrera for acknowledging the accomplishments of pac. hopefully his fans and other boxing fans will follow his example. there is no shame in giving pac his well-deserved props. he is great for our sport of boxing.
Yeah I don't see what Junior Jones has to do with anything here(Although he was destroyed in the first fight). Barrera is a class act and one of my favourite to watch.
