dude its basically true, go to Worldstar/thisis50 half the people there support Mayweather to the death and predict a Mayweather KO over pac lol. there loyalty to Mayweather is undying due to race/culture not skills or personality.
PP felt compelled to bring Junior Jones, an African American fighter, into a discussion that had absolutely nothing to do with him. Go figure. He probably also felt Pacquiao ducked Raheem and Guzman to fight Marquez and Morales.
Still, you would of thought he might of been able to take Jones out, what with that chin, as he had also been knocked out by Darryl Pinckney before that, thats right, who?
Jones looked ready to go a number of times in that fight from what I remember. Mostly all I remember is Jones hilarious commentary... "If Jones beats Canizales tonight, he should go down as one of the greatest Bantamweights of all time". He may have even said "the greatest", I can't remember.
I simply read the title and thought Barrera must have been referring to This content is protected Your the 1 who brought race into it princess
Didn't Jones tire badly down the stretch or something? its been a while since I saw it. Jones tended to have issues with stamina from what I recall, although he had plenty of heart.
Allot of fans solely support based on race/background/nationality, its pretty sad really, no need to stereotype all fans of a fighter though
I actually thought Jones finished the stronger, it was early on he was getting caught with right hands.
Roach is on record as saying Guzman was a nightmare style for Pacquaio and they didn't need the fight
Surprised to read MAB's quote -- the generosity of it. He always struck me like Sandy Saddler at the mention Pep -- pride blinded. Has to be because he's a TV analyst 'n, with time, matured.
