One-handed fighter? **** my life. In any event, I tend to agree with Bernie when he suggests that the difference between JMM and MAB in terms of technical ability was negligible at best. They both threw beautiful accurate shots in combination, and mixed it up well with both hands. That's right - both hands. I could produce plenty of footage showing Barrera utilise his right hand effectively and often, hurting his opponent, often scoring knockdowns, and even knockouts throughout his long career. Otherwise, JMM did some things better than MAB and vice versa. And don't pay any notice to Bill Butcher. I'm always measured and fair whenever I am discussing Barrera, and neither he or anyone could prove otherwise.
He can't lead with the right very effectively, he can't cover much range with it, he can't counter with it too well. If his right was better, it's a big weakness and is 1 of the main reasons Pacquaio and Jones had their way with him. Yes he'll throw right hands and throw in combination but it's still a weakness
Saying his right hand is a weakness is one thing, but saying he didn't have a right hand is just the kind of lunatic bull**** we often associate with your posts, PP. Here's Barrera putting on a right hand countering masterpiece against a former world champion and a man that beat him as an AM. Notice how many lead right hands not only get through, but also hurt Sanchez. You can dispute what I say, but you can't disagree with video footage. End of story. WOW.... I seriously hope you are joking here with most of this just to get a reaction because if your not then you may be beyond help. 1. Marquez wouldn`t even beat Morales or Barrera at 126 IMO but at least you have an argument there, saying he would stop either, well thats just plain ridiculous. 2. I never scored the first JMM-Pac fight but I did score the last 2 to Marquez so I won`t argue your 3-0 thing there. 3. Pac is 2-1 over Morales, that is correct, all clear victories. 4. Morales definitely won the 2nd Barrera fight so your 3-0 nonsense is out the window straight away. 5. Pacquiao is the `greatest` of the mini fab 4 thru achievements, its up to you if you rank JMM as the `best` tho, they are all on the same level IMO. 6. JMM fighter of the decade ? :-( wtf does that make Floyd Mayweather then ?... fighter of the century ?.... he schooled Marquez like a child, easy, Mayweather is the `best` fighter of the decade, Mayweather or Pacquiao is the `greatest` fighter of the decade. 7. Glad to help
You don't know wtf you're talking about. In addition to the clips Addie posted, you can watch MAB knock Mzonke Fana the **** out with one right hand shot. MAB hurt people with the left OR the right, and he stopped people cold with the left or the right.
Yeah, the Fana fight is a great example, but the Sanchez fight is particuarly good here because it literally dispells everything PowerPuncher said. Barrera dominates the entire fight with his right hand alone. It's beautiful to watch.
Morales and MAB split the first 6 rounds of the second fight, MAB practically swept the back half once the brawl broke out. So you can stop with your constant bs about EM 'definitely' winning the fight. The first fight was close with MAB being the winner in most people's eyes. The second fight was close but you'd be hard pressed to give EM the majority of the rounds. Third fight MAB was a clear and definite winner. Most MAB fans are pretty realistic and can usually engage in rational discussions about that great FW era from Hamed to Pac, but not EM fans in general and definitely not you. I love EM damn near as much as I love MAB, and so do most MAB fans, but EM superfans tend to run on the slightly stupid side.
Barrera had a great left AND a great right hand... as did Morales & Marquez, the only one of the 4 that had to develop a right hand was Pacman, he has one now tho.
And since Bill Butcher and the other assorted EMtards don't know who Fana is or will pretend they don't, he is CURRENTLY the IBF sfw title holder, and has been a title holder for many years and has some good kills on his resume.
Bernie, gonna please stop repeating the same old **** when discussing that 2nd fight, yes we know the judges had them splitting the first 6 rds & Barrera sweeping the last 6 rds... thats why its percieved as the wrong decision by most.
Having a hand that's a big weakness = '1 handed fighter'. That's what everyone in boxing calls it, you notice the weakness and work around it. Those right hands are fine when he has an opponent up close but he can't throw a straight right down the pipe and it isn't because he lacks reach, his technique with the right is wrong. Stop getting butthurt lots of fighters are 1 handed fighters, Hatton, Cotto, Delahoya.
