oh? Well try this on for size: MAB is my favorite fighter of the group, but he's not the BEST fighter of the group. Pac is, and clearly so. MAB is not CLEARLY better than JMM, and he's not necessarily 'better' than EM just because he matches up well with him. MAB, EM and JMM are all close enough on the ATG list that they could fit on there interchangeably. I have MAB a **** hair higher than EM, but wouldn't argue with someone putting EM there as long as they made a good case for it. Which you don't.

By the time JMM is done, I might have him slightly ahead of both MAB and EM. That doesn't mean he's better than either one h2h at their best weight and during their prime. Now how's that for fair? Are you capable of that? I bet you're not.

I always give Barrera credit but because I scored the first 2 fights for Morales & rank him greater in an ATG sense you probably don`t notice when I compliment him because you only focus on the EM-MAB thing... you think I`m being negative about Barrera simply because of my Morales-Barrera opinions & you don`t share them.... I`ve said about Barrera in the past.....

I think the Barrera of the first Morales fight beats any 122 lb version of Pacquiao....

The Barrera that beat Hamed beats any 126 lb version of Marquez or Pacquiao....

Barrera is in the top 5 fighters of the last decade....

The only case I've ever seen you make is you think EM won two out of three. It's a lot easier to make the case that MAB swept the series. You also, if I remember correctly, talk nonstop about how they both did against Junior Jones as if you don't know that styles make fights, which I know you do.

There was just something about JJ that bothered MAB. Sucks, but it's true. By the same token, EM had a tendency to fight down to the level of his opponent and make EVERY fight a tough fight.

This seems to be the point that people have most difficulty grasping. You can have a favourite fighter and still acknowledge there are better fighters out there.People always refer to Barrera losing to Jones but in these weight classes, all these great fighters have what could be deemed as poor losses. What saddens me is that there is a new generation of younger fans hailing Morales as if he is an ATG on current form! The current Morales is at most,40% of the wonderful genius we watched at the end and turn of the century.Morales is an all time favourite of mine and Marquez is almost there,I just favoured Barrera more personally. Each has their own distinctive strengths and weaknesses. My only problem is that rating them is subjective, and you cannot categorically say that Morales is better than Barrera. Most people who say Morales deserved more than one verdict are diehard fans, and I am guilty of this when scoring on a frequent basis. However, most neutrals agree Barrera won two of the three,at least one clearly.

No shame in it, Both Jones and McKinney were excellent fighters in their day. He just shouldn't have been able to ktfo MAB, and he really didn't do anything that EM doesn't do. Jabs more. Long right hand, but MAB has shown he can deal with that. I dunno.

Point being, the triangle theory doesn't work in this sport.

We`ll just have to disagree on the h2h fights because we`re on a completely different page... I had the 1st & 3rd fights razor close, 50/50 fights that either man could have got... I scored the 2nd a clear win for Morales... I believe we agree on fight 1 but see fights 2 & 3 vice versa, oh well, these things happen.

Also... I don`t talk about JJ non-stop, its very close between EM & MAB so in order to split them you have to dig up the little things that make the difference, thats why I make a case for Morales being better by saying things like....

Morales beat 2 guys that beat Barrera in Barrera`s prime, JJ & Pac....
MAB was stopped twice in his prime, Morales was never close to it despite Barrera having the edge in defense....
Morales has had more success in more weight divisions albeit narrowly....
Morales was `greater` at 122 lbs than Barrera was at any weight he ever fought at....

These things are FACTS, they are not my imagination.
