Anyone remember this fight? I just watched again recently, and damn what a great fight it was. The skill showed by both guys was impressive. This is boxing 101 at the highest level.

Fantastic fight. And you're right, it was a great combination of action and absolutely flawless boxing technique, for the most part. It's like a clinic on boxing.

Great great fight..As expected when you put two world class Mexicans against each other :good

Definetly the 3rd best fight of '07 right behind Rafa-Izzy 2 and 1 IMO.

This fight is awesome. Great balance of technical skill both offensively and defensively, lots of action, and a demonstration of will from both fighters. As Lampley said "Both men can lead or counter," and that mix made for a great fight between these Mexican legends.

I went to the fight and this is one fight that looked completely different on TV than live. It looked like Barrera was doing nothing at all in the first half of the fight when I was there, I was a Barrera fan and my friend a Marquez fan, and we both agreed Marquez won big, there was nothing for me to celebrate except the knockdown. When I saw it later on TV I was like, wow, Marco is actually winning the early rounds with clean shots, and its a fight that is close as hell! All three Pac-Morales fights looked exactly like they did on TV when I saw them live, and so did Corrales Castillo 1-2. This is the only one where my impression of the fight completely changed when I rewatched it later.

And yes, a great great fight. Way better than Pac Barrera II, where I think both guys just kind of coasted for an easy payday, the only time in my opinion Pac has done this since stepping onto the scene.
