Albeit that Barrera is no longer at his best against Khan, I think he has a chance to beat Khan if not for the cut. Maidana a lesser skilled fighter than MAB had Khan on the verge of getting TKO. I think if the cut did not occurred in that fight, throughout the 12 rounds, MAB’s combination would land on Khan’s chin (who does not have a solid chin). Some months ago before his fight against Khan, MAB has a close fight against JMM, and the Khan that beat Maidana is better than the one that faced MAB, so overall I think if not for the cut and fight did continue, MAB might have TKO Khan (thought he might lose also). In my opinion that fight did not gave a clear result or indication on what might happened throughout the 12 rounds, because of the early cut MAB suffered.
If that's your way of thinking I think you should take curling or lacross as your sport. Barrera is way past it and there's no way he'll win. Plain and simple. Khan is too big too fast and too strong at for MAB.
It kind of annoys me that khan has barrera on his resume, he and morales should have retired years ago and stay retired.
The Marquez fight was two years before the Khan fight. Barrera was too old and too small for Khan. Chances are, he still loses without the clash of heads.
Khan still would have won by UD, this coming from a guy who cant stand him but acknoledge his ability!
Maidana has less "skill" than barerra, but more to trouble him with, fast feet (yes, really) and big time power.
