If anything, they have avoided him.

Even though that isn't the case, putting Marquez last because you feel that way is being ignorant to the criteria.

how the hell can Marquez be last? this is about overall ability and Pac fans are high off of their ****ing ass if they believe he tops this list.

Well what makes a good fighter? what is a fighter?

to me a fighter in the sense of boxing is a Boxer and a Brawler. one uses the mind the other uses the body and a mix of these equals a fighter. technical versus brute force
    So for me its

    boxer:
    1. JMM
    2. MB
    3. EM
    4. MP

    brawler:
    1. MP
    2. EM
    3. MB
    4. JMM

    so they are tied.

How the heck are some people placing Pac over JMM or Barerra? This thread is about skill, not who beat who.

I see some with Barerra or Marquez first, and that's the ONLY way it should be. After that, Morales then Pac.

Marquez can mix it and trade much better than Pacman can box, no question. So they are not tied in my eyes.

Nuthuggers who love Pacman just can't let their heads make their decision, its the heart over head. I mean if they love Pac so much, whats the chances of them placing him last, or even third or second?. No chance.

Its about tools, ability, and what they can do inside the ring. Who's the best fighter in terms of those attributes, not rating them on H2H or accomplishments.

I rate Marquez a more complete fighter than Chavez in terms of ability, but not close when it comes to P4P.

Morales won't duck anyone. He'll fight Tyson if he had to. He never took that fight beacuse there was no money involved. You're going to tell me the same guy who got KO'D by Paq in fight number 2 but still came back for a third fight and fought fire wih fire, until getting KO'D again, was afraid of JMM. Please brother think again.

Kindly define/elaborate MAQUEZ "can mix it" and trade much better than PAC.

If you meant fighting TOE TO TOE (Marquez can mix it) I guess you are mistaken my friend!

Robbi, do not blame the Pac fans for voting him. I told you before that the word fighter is confusing. Not everyone read the whole thread. Besides, do not take this seriously because you are asking a theoretical question here that has no bearing in the real fight. Mirani86 explained it well but you don't want to listen to him for obvious reason.

i guess this thread backfires and you did not get the result you wanted from the polls. now if you will not get it from the polls, why resorting to bashing the huggers? do you have any proof that all those who voted for pacquiao or morales are all huggers or they just simply believe that pacquiao, morales and barrera are more skillful than marquez?

2 wins over MAB, 2 wins over Morales, and a draw with MArquez say otherwise.

You never read the post correctly. At no point did I say Marquez "mix it" or "trade" better than Pacquaio. Looks like I'm going to have to repeat myself. Marquez can trade and mix it better than Pacquaio can box. Makes perfect sense.

    MAQUEZ lol.

I then followed up and made the word "fighter" clearer for you. I did listen, and I read his post. My initial question was clear and not confusing, yet I had to explain myself over a few times.

Pacman aint as complete a fighter as Marquez, not as versatile, and can't box as well as him, and I don't believe he's techincally as good either, especially balance. Pacquaio probably has more power and has more quickness. But when packaging everything together, Marquez is a better fighter than Pacman. Thats my problem with the poll results.

Many people would rate Marciano ahead of other fighters in an all time heavyweight list, some have him in the top 5. Yet fighters below him are better in terms of being more complete and versatile, could do more inside the ropes, thus being better fighters even though Marciano has a better resume and was unbeaten

    Simple.
