But saying Morales is better and Barrera is overrated is ludicrious given he won the trilogy.

Since when was one win greater than two wins?!:huh :huh :huh :huh :huh
Sure Morales won the first fight but nobody would say Morales had an easy time coz pac was fighting even if his face a blooded. In the latter rounds he was fighting (NOT back peddling!) That's a heart of a true champion he did not give up!

If YOU watched fights 2 and 3! Did Morales give pac a hard time as much as Pac gave Morales a hard time?! Watch the fight again before you make you comments.

One win is better than two?!:patsch :nut :rofl :patsch . IF THAT IS WHAT YOU ARE SAYING WHAT IS THE USE OF TRILOGY in BOXING IF ONE IS GREATER THAN TWO?!:patsch :patsch :patsch :patsch :patsch :patsch :patsch :patsch :patsch :patsch

morales lost to mab in the trilogy
moreles lost to pac in the trilogy

you still put morales on top of mab and pac?!

a trilogy is made to know who is better coz the first two figthts is 1-1.
The third fight is the decisive fight to know who is better.

It is NO BRAINER to know who is better. Now if you tell me yes, Morales may have lost in the trilogy but in my eyes he is still the champion is acceptable coz just like you and me we are just boxing fans.

It may be hard to admit but let us put some logic in what we are saying :smoke

How long have you been watching boxing?

Because MAB officially holds a 2-1 edge over Morales does'nt make him the better fighter.
Morales could just as easily officially been up 2-1 in that trilogy, it was that close.
I'm not going to make the corrupt judgeing influence my decision on who I feel is the better fighter. I judge that for myself, regardless on who officially is the winner or the loser.

Personally, I have the Morales-MAB trilogy at one a piece and one even.

The same with the Morales trilogy with Pac. Going into the Pac trilogy, Morales clearly was showing signs of decline, and Pac was just hitting his prime!
Because Pac officially won that trilogy, it does'nt neccesarily make him the better fighter in this case either.

If you want to judge fighters by official records, dont even bother watching the fights, just go over to Boxrec.com and have a field day!

What are you talking about? There was a right hook that snapped Pac's head back at 1:17 of round 5, and Pac fired back at 1:15, and that was it. There were no ropes holding him up. He looked like he was hurt for maybe a second but no longer than that.

I just watched Morales-Pac 1 again today. Geez he looked good compared to every showing since. So loose and fast, his punches actually did some damage. That fight took a lot out of him (and the other 23435 wars he was in).

Hitting pack three times in a row?! WOW! BUT PAC IS STILL STANDING :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good

is fine HOW ABOUT the next set of pictures! JMM is on the floor!!!!!
I would rather be called one dimensional if you WISH but have a DEVASTATING POWER!!!!!!

You JMM fans may NOT ADMIT IT but you would rather see the picture reversed. pac hitting jmm 3 times, then seeing the next picture JMM ko PAC 3x'S!!!!:bbb :hi: :hi: :bbb :bbb :hi: :bbb :hi: :bbb :hi: :bbb

Divac, you are a good jounalist. The way you write you can make anybody look great. Saying JMM is technically this and that, JMM has more balance (?!) jmm is more complete boxer etc ! Great writer indeed! I'm not saying JMM is lousy but since you are a great writer :good you could write and make somebody the best of the best.

Bottom line. WORDS and "PR" machinery can even make a president out of somebody.Bottom line Divac. A good lawyer can even make a criminal look like a saint and set him out the hook.

    Bottom line....

WORDS and discriptions can be poetry BUT PICTURES DON'T LIE:happy :happy :happy :happy :smoke :smoke :smoke :deal :deal :deal

Very difficult to rate them, since:

    prime PacMan beats prime Barrera
    prime Marquez beats prime Pacman
    prime Morales beats prime Pacman
prime Barrera beats prime Morales (this happened in their first fight whatever the official outcome was)
I really don't know what prime Marquez could do with Barrera or Morales. Perhaps edges them both, but no idea....

All in all, I say the best is Marquez and the other 3... well impossible to rate, same level. But Marquez-Pacman will answer the question whether a past-his-prime Marquez beats prime Pacquiao. :hat

They're all great fighters. If one refers just to technical ability, I lean toward Marquez, although just by a very small amount. If one refers to physical talent, then Pacquaio easily wins it. He's the fastest, strongest, and most explosive of the four, yet he is naturally the smallest (started at a lower weight than the rest).

Then again, if you want to make it about overall accomplishment, then I have trouble deciding between Morales and Barrera.

    Greatness is difficult to quantify.

Johnco, I ask for video clips of great combinations from the other fighters, and you give me pictures of JMM on the canvas. :D

What are you gonna do, I guess you cant post whats not available!:D ;)

It all boils down to it being a game of adjustments, and it holds especially true at the elite level.

JMM explained well the reason why he went down three times to the canvas.....He explained that he had trouble guaging the distance in which Pac could travel by taking a step foward......but he then made the adjustments.....

Looking at these video clips, I can see the difference in JMM's defense in comparing the clip from the Medina fight and the combination he threw to Pac.

......against Medina, Marques just took a slight step and dip back and fired his counter combination.

......but in the Pac clip, you can see the defensive adjustment that JMM likely made as a result of tasting the canvas three times.

....against Pac, it was no longer step back, dip and counter.....JMM made the defensive adjustment so that Pac could'nt land his left with momentum and power......against Pac, Marquez was now sticking his left out over Pac's right jab to deflect it downward, and then right in the midst of Marquez taking a step back and dipping, Marquez sticks his right hand out to parry and deflect Pac's left.
Once JMM has deflected and made Pac miss with the left, Marquez makes Pac pay for it with that beautifully timed three punch combination.

.....blocks and smothers Pac's right jab, parries Pac's left, and then shoots out the combo....Marquez does all of this in one svelte motion and a dip back.....just beautiful!

Indeed, a game of adjustments!:deal :yep

......and Silvermags, I appreciate the compliment on my writing, but I could'nt do anything with it if I did'nt believe the subject matter.
When you believe in the subject matter, it comes out in the writing!:good

Forget Hussein. Freaking Lucero was an undefeated prospect and PAC ruined his career.

I mean he just took the guys Manhood and ability to earn money..who does that??? I mean beating is one thing but taking away future earnings potential? PAcs ruined lives
