Because JMM had not yet blistered him up, like he did the rest of the fight.

Beautiful, absolutely beautiful  bolisima.. Marquez' combinations are a thing of beauty and they are just stunning to watch. His left hook, straight right, followed by a left uppercut was perfectly calculated and thrown. What about that combo he landed on paquio.. Poor fella almost broke a neck.

Pacquiao is in for a beating.

TOOOOOOOOOO BAD! the most BEAUTIFUL thing you could describe is ONE situation wherein JMM hit pac 3 combination punches!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But wait a minute the MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST beautiful one instance you are talking about is OBVIOUSLY not strong enough to put PAC down. IS THAT ALL you can say. One instance vs INSTANCES by PAC. One picture of JMM is so funny that BOTH his feet is ON THE AIR!!!!!!! :hey :hey :hey :hey :hey

Like I said Divac, you are an excellent descriptive writer but the PICTURES tells it ALL. No need for a poets describing the scnenario.
THE PICTURE TELLS it ALL :good :good :good :good :good :good :good :good

Two feet in the air?! Like I said JMM is lucky there is no 3 KD rule :bbb

John is not lying bro... i saw it too! it was during the post fight interview at ringside after the fight. Pac was interviewed by Quinito Henson and the other guy... Pac showed his sprained left fist it was swollen pretty bad it looked like an apple. He also said in that interview that he was having blisters on his foot because of the socks he used (it's pretty dumb really... but yes it was true) he even showed it.

All i'm saying here is that it was true... whether it was a factor during the fight? thats another story...

If pac adjusted during the course of the fight and slowed down his attacks a bit he might got the win but it was clear that he was relying so much on his left. He probably thought he could finished JMM coz he KD him earlier but we all know that JMM is more than just your average fighter. He looked pretty one dimensional and because of that he was countered very effectively. For me that was the biggest reason why he only got a draw...

i think the questions about the first fight would be endless........... pac fans would be saying this and jmm fans would be saying that. Come to think of it it's all immaterial now. It's done and finished. Like saying a glass half empty or half full. Depends on how you look at in.

what really matters most is the PAC VS JMM 2! We will SEE who DEMOLISHES who?! I hope it's not a SPIT DECISION coz somewhere along the way some fans (on both sides would not accept defeat!)

Same story as how pac defeated mab by UD. Imagine it was already a UD and if I remember if CORRECTLY (?) some stupid Mab fans still think they were robbed or thought that the fight was close enough to be SD!

Myself, Divac, and yourself are all lucky their was no three knockdown rule, not just Marquez. Because we would have been well and truely robbed with a one round finish, as the fight ending on that note would have been a travesty.

So because his left hand was swollen, the guy continues to use his 1-2 right left combo the rest of the fight? :thinkIf you're hurt in some way, you'd favor using the other hand more than the hurt hand. And by the way his hand does look pretty swollen but I'm sure every fighter's knuckles are swollen in some way.
