Out of the 3 Amigos (MAB, Erik Morales, JMM) who is your favorite and who do you like watching the most? To me it's really hard to pick since the 3 gave so much excitement in the ring. Erik Morales was probably the most entertaining while JMM was the most aesthetically pleasing to watch in a technical perspective. Barrera falls in between.
If forced to choose I'd probably pick Marquez, mainly because of his beautiful style and warrior spirit.

I've seen barrera live and in the gym, Morales and Marquez live. I've always rated Morales behind barrera and been partial to Marquez because of Beristain. I thought that marquez was avoided by both of them for several years.
For a long time i rated barrera ahead of Marquez as well, but marquez evolved beyond him. Barrera is probably my favorite, however, because I followed him from his first fight in the US when he had just turned 18 and he was so good then. A beautiful boxer, which he was for most of his career.

I refuse to choose. What are you trying to do to me?

All legitimate first ballot Hall inductees, but Marquez, the most under-promoted, under-appreciated of the three, will probably be rated the highest by historians. Barrera will always be a special favourite though for his humiliation of the truly vile, obnoxious Naseem Hamed.

Marquez, if I have to choose. Perfect blend of skill and toughness.

From a stylistic perspective...Peduel Pedquez and Barrera in his earlier pre-Hamed slugger\aggressive boxer-puncher days.

All excellent, great fun to watch fighters though, even if i rag on them a lot for being a bit overrated at times and find their weight jumping exploits(like many of the past few decades) to be truly overestimated.

It's like trying to pick your favourite child. But I will admit when I was watching the Barrera - Morales wars I found myself leaning towards Barrera. Probably because it's harder being the shorter guy to over come the advantages of a tall talented fighter.

Morales. Even when semi shot still beat Pac, and went toe to toe with him in the last round when there no need to.

Barrera and Morales I like equally, although I always went for Barrera in their trilogy. Morales won me over with the first pac fight and the ayala fight. Havent seen the Maidana one yet.

I favored Barrera slightly over Marquez with Morales a distant third. Nothing against Morales I just always pulled for Barrera when they fought. Barrera remade himself once or twice and that was impressive. Got to see a lot of Barrera and Marquez coming up on some good LA cards in the 90s. I was on board with those two pretty early in their careers.
