You're not on my level, period. Go to school. Scoring is subjective, but it boggles the mind that me as a huge Alexis fan still couldn't find enough reason to draw him level with Pryor. Help me out.
Dude, are you ****in' serious? The fairest score is 1-1-1. If I wasn't already prepared for such tripe from you I'd be angry, but can't Bill even make the slightest effort to be reasonable here? The first fight was close and it would have been no injustice to call it a draw, but most have Marco winning. The rematch is a different story, one of the closest fights I've ever seen, but most people see that as a Morales victory. Only Bill Butcher and Jim Watt scored their third fight even. :huh
I know your joking but you really mean that. I dont know some people have different scoring methods, I'll be the first to admit I churn out some weird scorecards, but I score heavily on ring generalship, clean punching and defence. Anyone can throw a punch not everyone can land. Also maybe I'm a bigger Arguello fan.
You're a much bigger Alexis fan, and there wasn't much defense on his part that night. Combo's were bouncing off his head from 1st round to last. Greg, it wasn't just your scorecard for Alexis/Pryor I that made me wonder whether you can score fights or not but you said to me that Jimm Watt is a good commentator. Sealed 'da mother****in' deal, that one.
We argue about this every time. Next time I watch the fight I'll go through every detail and every thought I have on it. Also Jim Watt is good but maybe its because hes the only commentater I have known on Sky and I dont like change.
Its got nothing to do with that Greg. Nationality plays a huge part in you liking Watt. Scottish Fannies
Nobody likes change, Jimm Watt is just abysmally bad at what he does. Scottish, Welsh, ****in' Italian, he's terrible. Get him off the air...now!
Addie, we`ve been thru this, it goes round in circles... we both agree on the 1st fight so forget that.... you admitted to me before that the 3rd fight being scored even wouldnt have been a robbery even tho you had it 7-5 (I think) for Marco.... I had Morales winning 8 rds in fight 2, thats 1 rd of a difference. You have said that there aint nothing between them thru all 3 fights or in a career comparison - I agree with this - but its the 2nd fight that I scored as the only clear win of the trilogy (Im far from the only one that did so) so really, I havent said nothing more out of line/biased than you have on Barrera`s behalf. In fact, I would say that calling that trilogy 3-0-0 to Marco is beyond excusable.... I said that 1-0-2 Morales is fairest going fight by fight which is much more reasonable IMO. Ps. If you dont judge rd by rd or fight by fight tho... 1-1-1 is obviously the fairest result as there never was any clear gap between both fighters... they are 2 of the best fighters of all time under LW.
3-0 is not inexcusable. You have it in your head that Morales pitched a shutout in fight 2 because Erik said so.
Dont forget Paul Smith, one of the judges that night had it 6-6. The other judge had 7-5 Barrera (fair play, no probs there) The other judge had 6-5-1 Barrera & the only rd he scored even was a rd that the other 2 judges & 90% of fans scored for Morales. So lets not have this `only Bill Butcher & Jim Watt didnt have this a clear MAB win` nonsense, Addie
