Darni, this comment proves your bias and your agenda, you have'nt even seen the bloody thing and your sticking up for Khan already? :rofl ,make sure that hoover of yours don't get burnt out mate, its on its last legs.
He's always been like that. Great fighter but i like Erik Morales MUCH better. Barrera is a bit like Larry Holmes. Can be as bitter as a cold windy night sometimes. Even though he has little to feel that way about in his boxing career. I mean you can understand it to a certain extent with Larry. It's not always a bad thing though. Sometimes having that attitude can serve you well in boxing. Also i'm convinced some people like him only because he beat Hamed and know very little outside that (that's not a dig at anyone btw).
I don't dispute MAB got his point across, he was very entertaining. My point was they spoke to a foreign person like many an Englishman on holiday does: louder and slower! Just bugged me, that's all
Everyone looked very nervous and tense on the set except for barrera who did well I thought considering his english is only ok. Nelson is very awkward in front of the camera still dunno will he ever loosen up if he hasn't by now. Barrera was spot on with the kahn fight. **** decision against him then and still stinks, should have no contest IMO
He said they didn't match up well stylistically :deal :huh Agreed:thumbsup **** off He said he tried to make friends with Morales a year or so ago but Eric said ''We will never be friends''
Yeah I agree. He used to be my favourite when I was younger but these days I prefer Morales. Mainly because Morales' style has grown on me, but also because Barrera comes across as bitter and petty. Not just from this interview. I understand him being a proud man but there's a time and a place, and a way to get your point across. Sometimes you have to let it go. What happened in the Khan fight was not right, in fact it was disgraceful, but that was poor from him on ringside. The reason he's not being trashed for it is because of his great achievements in the ring. When you're a future hall of famer, you can say whatever you want, and people will think it's poetry. You are the man, the legend. The hero worship of Barrera in particular is cringeworthy. and I agree with the comment about Hamed too. I've never been a fan of his and was also happy when Barrera beat him, but I was also a bitter little punk back then:roll:. I think that win in some peoples minds put him on a ridiculous pedestal.
The Ringside lot were an embarrassment dealing with someone whos first language wasn't English. They were all more nervous than him, clowns. Especially Nelson stuttering. Dreadful presentation really. Interesting comments on Khan having no power though, sort of confirms suspicions.
I thought Barrera was actually trying to make a valid point on Khan too, just didn't quite have the English to get it out on the spot. He was trying to say that Amir Khan cried foul when he lost the Peterson fight, kicking up all kinds of fuss, yet wouldn't give him a rematch when he won their fight in one of the most unsatisfying ways.
