Regardless of how old Barrera gets, he will always matter to those who were around to appreciate his fights with Mckinney and Morales. I'll be supporting his comeback.

You guys are exaggarating of how past it Barrera is

His last 2 fights were against the current #1 and #3 P4P fighters in the world and both fights were competitive. Hes far from his best days but he isnt completely shot like Morales is. If he chose to stay at 130, I see him beating everyone right now in the division.

Barrera is past his prime but not shot! he can still hang with campbell and casa. I wouldn't mind seeing a JMM rematch too!

He's not as shot as you think he is, Barrera still has what it takes to give fighters in his division tough close fights if not beat them. If he's really out of it he wouldn't have given Marquez a really tough fight recently then fight Pacquiao, both of which are high in the P4P rankings right now with Manny being #1 and Marquez #3.

well with this news and the talk about morales wanting to come out of retirement in 2009 i sure hope there isnt a morales-barrera IV

just as much as i hope there isnt a vasquez-marquez IV, just for the sake of their long-term health

A man needs to eat somehow plus he needs the exercise...

As long as it won't be Pacquiao or JMM, he's still got the juices to give some mega fights.

My guess is a bunch of people realized that was a really shitty idea and the person who came up with the idea was exiled from boxing immediately.

Barrera isn't as past it as Morales but I still think he's gone far enough to be a real force anymore. Lucky for him 130 is nothing but left overs at this point.
