Most rds were close but I was able to pick a winner either thru volume or quality of shots tho I havent spoke of each rd in detail. I wont give a speech after each rd unless something happened that needs explaining...... 1- Barrera 10-9 (close) 2- Barrera 10-9 (close) 3- Marquez 10-9 (close) 4- Marquez 10-9 (close) 5- Marquez 10-9 (close) 6- Marquez 10-9 (close) 7- Even 9-9 (JMM was winning the rd very very big, it was almost becoming a 10-8 rd then MAB floors him with a great punch but I thought that was enough to reverse the rd to a 10-9 for MAB rather than a 10-8 because JMM was winning the rd so big but then MAB blatantly hits JMM with a punch when he is down & loses a point justifiably, therefore making the score 9-9) 8- Barrera 10-9 (clear) 9- Even 10-10 (couldnt split them) 10- Marquez 10-9 (clear) 11- Marquez 10-9 (close) 12- Marquez 10-9 (close) 116-111 Marquez Ps. The fight was a lot more competitive than the scoring suggests but rd by rd JMM did win the fight. :thumbsup
Wow it is a bit one sided, I had it pretty close back then more like 115-114 for Marquez. Clear win for JMM though, his rounds were clearly his.
Like I said, the actual fight, if you look at it as an entirety rather than rd by rd then there is not a lot between the fighters, it was highly competitive. I was suprised myself when I added my score up, I expected to have JMM by 1 or 2 pts but there you go. Its like that sometimes when you judge rd by rd.
Thanks for posting but I think you butchered the scoring Bill.....but you did say many of the rounds were close, so they could go either way. IT was a close fight but I had MAB winning by 1 round...2 the first time I watched.
