Barrera vs Fenech @ 122

Once a fighter's career is finally over, we can see things more clearly. I too at the time was under the impression that Fenech was like this "Duran type" fighter who put on insane pressure, was fearless, etc... That was more from reading hype stories from the boxing writers at the time. To be fair, I do think he was robbed the first time against Nelson, but the rematch only proved how sick Nelson must have been the first time around. On another note I see where 30 years later they have reversed the decision in the first fight, I think that's insane and another reason why boxing has become a joke.

I think he was another over-hyped brash fighter with a chip on his shoulder who got exposed very brutally.

 

At 122 lbs Fenech was insanely strong

This would be a war with Fenech being a little busier. Fenech by decision

 

He beat some very good fighters at 122 and 126, remained undefeated and when he stepped up to 130 he lost a very disputed decision to the Don King connected Azumah Nelson.
