Hamed had come to florida when Barrera fought Jones and was ready to fight him after (So he claims) who would of won the Barrera from the McKinney fight against the 96 Hamed the one that fought Johnson, And if you watch the 11th and 12th rounds of the Barrera-Hamed fight Barrera goes to his old slugging style and is still beating the **** out of Hamed.

Hamed was **** in that fight. The hype and punches to the head from all his fancy "look ma, no hands!" defence had finally crippled him.

Hamed wanted no part of Barrera back when he was unbeaten.

Barerra would have won because unlike hamed he could change is style. Hamed in 2001 or 2002 whenever it was, was hoping that barrera would stand their and trade and that would give hamed the ammunition to counterpunch as he was a grandmaster at beating fighters who came forward by being a counter puncher.

The Barerra of the McKinney fight/Morales 1 would overwhelm Hamed, Hamed needed a little more space than Barrera would afford him, hence possibly an earlier finish than their actual meeting :good Barrera was too good for Hamed, I give Hamed his due, he was good, but not good enough (And this is coming from and Englishman, who watched and suppported most of Hameds fights). Hamed was world class, Barrera was Elite :deal

    Barrera beats any Hamed.

I think it's sad that people still make up excuses for boxers, for losing, even though they were only 27. The simple fact is that Hamed finally ran into real quality.

Barrera had Hameds technique/or lack of it, nailed down to a tea. It would have been the same with any version of Hamed.

The fight was also a blue print on how to beat him - exit Hamed.

For me, whether Barrara beats Hamed at any point in their careers is questionable. Hamed was going down hill a long time before he fought Barrera, he was already fighting well below prime when he fought Kelly.

Personally I think he started believing his own hype and tried to rely on power rather that skill. Hamed was an incredible talent who could have been a legend if he wasnt such a cocky little shite.

Now, now kids, MAB beats Naz 10 times out of 10 at anytime etc...
I agree with this but what i do say is this; If Naseem kknew how to be a professional, which he never did and i think never would, he's too nonchalont and dellusional. Im just saying if Naz could be a professional for even 6 rounds then he hospitalises MAB and anyone else.

BUt that would never happen coz Naz has'nt got the ability to take anything seriously and when he got the chance he lost so yeah MAB UD, 10 times outta 10, any time any place.

what you all seem to be forgetting is - Hamed had great power for a featherweight

    freakish power

he may be the biggest puncher featherweight of all time

Barrera may well have beaten him any time

but Barrera was easier to hit and nail with right hands back in 1996

I think Hamed would have nailed him floored him and knocked him out
