When I first watched Barrear vs Morales 1 I though it was just another fight. I was in for a surprise because till this very day I still haven't seen a better fight.
It is definitley one of the best wars ever, people love their Gatti fights, but this one was conducted at the p4p level. MAB and Erik were absolutely killing each other in there.:yep
I can't name 5 that were better to be honest, and I like a variety of different types of fights, not just wars. Unskilled wars get boring. MAB-JMM really was pretty good also. Anyone remember people bagging on MAB for fighting safe against Pac last time out? Calling him all sorts of names. Guy gives us probably 10 extremely memorable fights of the highest pugilistic entertainment and somehow doesn't earn the right to do a little track and field to not get KTFO in his final fight. Boxing fans.:yep
Exactly - Barrera had every right to play it safe and last the distance. He didn't want to end his career with a KO loss. Many boxing fans prefer Morales because he always fought toe to toe. Marco didn't in a few fights, but he had the ability to box and move. It probably was a reason why he had the longer career and was performing at a higher level during the end. Barrera and Morales were both GREAT fighters who gave us GREAT fights. I have never done a list, but I'm sure it would find a place amongst the top 5. Barrera-Morales 3 was awesome too. Both are above Gatti-Ward 1 and 3.
This is definitely one of the greatest fights ever in my personal top 3. This fight was insane just insane, This fight was in 2000 and 7 years later it still burns bright in my mind. I'm luckly enough to finally get this fight on tape and I love it every time I watch.
