Tell Antsu that Welliver is ready to beat all 3 of these guys on the same night. 1 man NZ Prizefighter challenge. Tua, Toney and Barrett each go 4 rounds apiece. They get to tag out to a fresh guy after every round so that they fight for 3 minutes, rest for 7. After 12 rounds, Welliver will have won all 12 rounds, thrown over 1200 punches, and shown people what's up. :bbb

 

Why rematch Monte? If you can get the result changed to a NC, don't reward the man for cheating. If his win is reversed, he then is not rated WBO #12 either.

Chauncy Welliver is #10 WBO, #6 WBC. Tua should fight the higher rated challenger with ranking to both Klitschko's. Wlad also holds the IBF and WBA titles. That WBO rank is far inferior to WBC rank as far as getting a title shot with it.

Welliver will be back fighting in New Zealand in January. He should be the Tua opponent for March. Anybody else is a joke. Only against Welliver can Tua prove whether he is still for real or not. If he can still punch like a mule kicks, and could manage to knock down Welliver for the 1st time, he could make a huge statement.

Also, Monte Barrett is just not a good style for him. He was actually beaten quite easily twice. The drugs Monte may have been taking are not the reason he won. Tua simply did not ever punch early and he never trained enough to be able to punch all fight.

David Tua should man up and give Monte the win that he deserves and he should tell all his fans that he lost because he was lazy. Then he should take on the Double Top 10 Welliver to try and re earn what he gave away.

This crying like a girl and blaming things on others is lame. David Tua needs to get with the program. Set a proper example for kids who look up to him. He needs to have a talk to the man in the mirror.

Well Chauncy seems a better option for Tua when push comes to shove.But moneywise?? Barrett vs Tua 3 makes more but is a harder fight to win based on the last two fights outcomes.:hey

 

I don't think it is a harder fight to win. Chauncy is not losing to Tua either. It is actually a much easier night to rematch Monte. He is not going to break Chauncy's jaw. He's not going to drop Chauncy. He's not going to outscore Chauncy. He has a chance against Barrett.

But as a legitimate challenge, with title shot implications on the line, Chauncy is the superior opponent.

Monte hadn't won in 4 years before he beat David. The only reason he has any credibility now is because of what happened against Dave. He was brought in because he was folding to everyone. He was supposed to be a scooby snack for Tua.

During Tua vs Monte #1 Chauncy was Top 15 WBO and should have been the guy. Now he is WBO and WBC Top 10, has all kinds of titles, and he should be the guy.

It seems like Chauncy Welliver is the only New Zealand HW who wants to fight the big fights in NZ against all comers. De Mori, Tua, Meehan, Leapai, all of them. Welliver is ready to deliver some pain via some title defenses. If these guys would start fighting, it could renew some HW excitement in the region. Welliver is ready.
