I find Barrios to be an incredibly vulnerable titlist who is quite fortunate to still have his belt. Garcia looked like **** vs Rolly Romero. Is it because he was off the stuff? Something else? Barrios is ripe for the picking but I am not fully convinced Garcia has what it takes to win this fight. I do consistently underestimate Garcia so maybe I am wrong here.
This may not make sense but I think if Garcia loses this, he should be forced to give Pacquiao blow-blow for eternity, wearing a wig and sunglasses. A red wig and pink-rimmed sunglasses and red lipstick. Again, this is not meant to be gay or anything, it's just what I think should happen as far as boxing is concerned. This is nothing personal, just business.
Pacquiao should be able to do to Garcia what Dennis Hopper did to Isabella Rossellini in Blue Velvet, if he loses this.
Robert Loggia was apparently mighty perturbed that Hopper got cast in the role of Frank Booth. BTW , amazingly, as I read this, Night Court was/is on live TV in the background. Even better, Gilbert Gottfried is guest-starring in this episode.
I expect Garcia to look great and starch him, because Garcia is clearly back on the juice. Look at his physique pics.
Imagine if Garcia gets knocked down with a left hook in the 2nd round for the 4th time and barrios gets his 3rd draw in a row
i think it will come down to how well barrios absorbs and incorporates what im sure goosen is going to teach him. if he is able to execute the plan, and get through the first 6 rds, he can beat garcia. it should be apparent if he is prepared in the first rds. minimum, he should keep his right hand glued to his face when not punching, and he should be circling to his left only. the problem with barrios is that when he commits to his punches he is not looking for counters to defend from in case he punched at the wrong time. he just commits to the full action of throwing the punch. so you always know where his head will be when he throws because its the same movement every time. makes him easy to time. the problem with garcia, is that outside of his left hook, he has little else to worry about. so if you can limit his opportunities to throw that left, then you can unravel his plan. put that doubt in his mind and it will do the rest.
