Man, this dude's career has taken a nosedive. Can he come back? I believe he was a real ticket seller in the UK. What do his fans here think?
He was a big(ish) name but I never remember him been known as a big ticket seller. In the early days pre drugs fail he had a good name as a top Prospect and actually won young fighter of the year think it was around 2014. but after the drugs fail Kid ended up that fighter that most couldnt/wouldnt/didn't get behind. He had a bit of a contemptuous attitude then the drug thing gave most the stick they wanted to beat him with. I'm talking popularity here. As a fighter he was very skilled and probably even tho he did win a world title actually under achieved. Not sure where he's at in his career atm @Bent-nose would be in a better position to comment as he knows him.
Awesome. Thank you. I still remember when he got knocked down by Martinez. I've never seen a trainer jump in the ring so quick. The panic from Ingle was incredible.
Sparticus summed it up - Galahad wasn't much of a ticket seller when he was briefly champion, but he was maybe a bit unlucky with timing. He beat Warrington for my money and might have capitalised on that at the time before Covid when boxing was still hot. His style isn't exactly endearing, I mean he got docked a point for standing on Dickens' foot when he was clearly miles ahead on the cards in his title win. And even if he should have beaten Warrington it was a pretty dull affair.
He could have been a ticket seller if he stuck to his Muslim roots. But he'd rather act like a low life so he doesn't even have his own people behind him lol.
Last thing we need is boxers pretending they are religious now, already get enough of them suddenly claiming to support the local football team
His career was basically fraudulent, look at his record it's full of fighters with losing records. And all the titles he won were vacant and against poor opposition. Certain people tried to claim he was better than he was, and Galahad himself tried to cockily claim he was better than he was laughably making regular comments about the likes of Carl Frampton and Scott Quigg, who were always above him and ahead of him, he wasn't in their class, as was proved. And no he couldn't sell tickets to save his life!
