Haha Barry, gotta love him. M'Diner :lol McKloskey looked absolutely spent from round 10-12 against Prescott. Wobbly as **** and Was in danger of being stopped about 3-4 times. Plus he could have won 5 of the last 6 rounds against Khan like Barry claims he did against Prescott, but still would have lost the fight, cos he won **** all in the first 6.

Oh Dear. The stoppage was obviously ludicrous but the plan was pretty stupid as well. I can understand having a plan to come on strong late against a fighter who has a history of tiring late but Khan has always had a pretty good engine. Also, if you want to come on strong late then losing the first six rounds is probably not the best idea. Lose 4 or 5 at the most so if it does go the distance, and you have failed to floor your opponent, you are still in with a shout of getting the decision. It was a pretty poor showing from McCloskey in my opinion. I can understand if he didn't want to be to gung ho early on if the plan was to come on strong late but he let slip plenty of oppotunities to hit Khan. To McCloskeys credit he had Khan looking like a complete novice many times during the fight and Khan was open to so many left counters straight down the pipe but McCloskey would just not throw them. It kind of reminded me of the Froch-Dirrel fight. Dirrel had Froch wailing away and hitting thin air like an amatuer but because he refused to counter he gave away rounds he could have easilly won. Bazza needs to have a word with himself.
I completely understand Khan's stance as far as the Hearns is concerned, the behaviour of Hearn Jr during & post McCloskey was a disgrace both to Team Khan & GBP and now this crap from senile Hearn Sr. They better be careful, antagonising rival promoters is not the best way to secure the major fights they claim to be after....
I got the impression that Hearn really believed that, though, I don't think he was trying to wind anyone up! I think he's a bit barking, but he seemed to believe what he was saying, at least, rather than just going on a windup. They have no chance of a rematch, Khan is talking to a whole different level of fighters.
