He deserves a ban and I believe he will get one, 1 year. He cannot continue to act like an animal and bring the sport into disrespect. I actually thought Hearn was alright last night and the rest of them, Boxing is all about discipline and respect and yes now and again things get heated and that's where it takes the discipline. In Britain it might not have happened but that's irrelevant to this situation, it did happen! It also wouldnt surprise me if Haye was cautioned by German Police if it was in the street he would. Both deserve some form of punishment and a fine isnt enough.
Sadly if boxing ever wants to be seen as a mainstream sport Chisora has to get a big fine and ban of at least 6 months. In reality that is 1 fight but it sends a message out that isn't just a soundbyte.
oh for **** sake, the old well 'they should have known angle' - maybe its because they expect the fighters to behave like pro's they dont need the security of an international airport. Lewis Rahman was an american fight - nothing to do with BBBoC The bite, the kiss, the slap, the spit nevermind the brawl - its set a precedent and if the BBBoC dont do anything its basically tacit approval I dont care about the brawl. Derek making a plonker out of himself was enough (thats if you can take the threats to kill with a pinch of salt).
Everyone wants Dels head yet he wasn't the one swinging with bottles or throwing ****ing tripods. How is Haye coming out of this like an angel when he went full spacker?
Path, Lewis had a BBBofC licence. Using your theory - ie it happened overseas - both Haye and Chisora are clear. Adios.
do you really want to talk about morals and boxing? :rofl i'm reading some of these posts and starting to think people have the problem with Chisora himself rather than the actual incidents.
I've been following boxing for a long time, and seen many many brawls most of which end in a fine. There is simply no precedent of which I can find where a boxer has been BANNED for brawling. The main stream media needs to F-off and do what it normally does to boxing IGNORE IT, this is boxing, these things happen and have been happening for as long as I can remember, get the **** over it.
Rightly or wrongly it has to be compared to a mainstream sport. If John Terry slapped Anton Ferdinand during the line up, then following week spat in Rios face. Then topped it off by fighting at a press conference would he only be looking at a fine. I don't mind the brawl but the slap and spitting deserve an example to be made.
I agree, the brawl just topped it all off, the spit is the most disgusting thing you can do. But Haye needs to take some punishment aswell, Police fine and caution.
You shouldn't be punished for acting in self defence. Self defence is self defence whats he suppose to stand there and take a beating because its the right thing to do ?
