Barry Hearn's a bloody hypocrite... Talking about making fights ont he merit of the ability of the two fighters involved and hyping them on that...People forget it was Matchroom and Sky who hyped the fight between Haye and Audley, and are they telling me that was based on Audley's ability...
Why not just stick to your opinion instead of the be-littling effort? Part of the game is not to slap your opponent (at the weigh in) or spit into anyones face in the ring, or have a ruck with soneone who had nothing to do with the fight. Unless Im totally misunderstanding boxing and what its about. So get your balls around that and suck them!
Do you actually think that the Klits give a **** what Chisora did during the weigh in and in the ring before the fight? They know the score and would probably laugh at you being offended on their behalf. Have they called for a ban?
Of course its isn't ok to behave like that in the street. But that wasn't the street, it was a boxing press conference where we have seen similar antics in the past. As for respect and discipline, the sport has recently been celebrating Ali's brithday and saluting him as a great ambassador for the sport. Respect and discipline didn't play much of a part in his press conferences and public media declarations when he was fighting. In fact, some of his remarks about his oppenents brought the game into as much disrepute as 2 clowns having a scuffle. Of course this is conveniently air brushed these days most of the time. Since then anything has been fair game, whether you think its right or wrong
