One of the guys commentating on the Pascal fight last night, I think it was Cory Erdman, really impressed me. Smart guy who brought a few new things to the table...including what must have been the only ever mention of Wanheng Menayothin on boxnation. I know he's not British but I hope we get to hear more of him.

Ummm yeah because Paul Malignaggi and Richie Woodhall are never biased towards a particular style are they? :nut

and somebody else mentioned Roy Jones...LOL please, his fake laugh alone is worse than anything Barry Jones has ever said

I will defend Barry Jones, Buncey and Lillis to the hilt. Boxnation coverage is fantastic compared to Sky. Plus the ESPN podcast is great entertainment. Jim Watt is useless at his job, I think we can all agree on that!

I agree with everything except your last sentence. But Jim is old enough to draw his 130 quid a week now, plus he's not exactly pot less. Maybe time to spend a bit more time on the golf course. The 3 Boxnation lads you mention are great. I like a bit of humour with my boxing coverage, and they bring it. Id certainly miss them if I didn't have them.

Thirded. The boxnation chaps are decent, and I have to say I think Barry Jones is splendid.

Barry's real strength is in the studio for me - he's an excellent pundit but only an average commentator - he annoyed me deeply with his attitude towards Eubank Jnr

Isn't it the case, if we're honest, that every commentator can be a bit annoying if they happen to see a fight differently to the one we are watching (aka "The guy I want to win is not winning")?

He was awful again last night, I love the content on boxnation but this guy has to go. I actually miss the dreary depressing voice of Paul Smith and I find myself looking forward to being less annoyed by Jim Watt.

Ian Darke and Glenn McCrory were great together. Nick Halling and Jim Watt are ridiculously biased and Watt's scorecards are comical. I much prefer Barry Jones to be honest. He knows his stuff although John Rawling annoys me at times.

In my opinion yes he is, Jones is far worse to listen to.

Watt really reminds me of Uncle Albert from Only Fools.

The thing is with Barry hes a good pundit but sounds so ****ing boring makes a exciting fight seem dull.

I think he's a decent commentator, but as stated better as a pundit. Maybe they should bring in JR and Jerry Lawler...
