Barry Jones says Butler is a special talent

Too easy to kick a man while hes down, Butler is a brilliant fighter yesterday he was hard to watch looked like he hadn't prepared properly for Tete and didnt want to engage as it seemed he felt his power early.

Butler is only 26 and and has only had 18 fights and has already been a World Champion! He doesn't need to win every fight to be a great fighter

He showed how much of a decent person he is aswell yesterday in coming back out to do an interview and giving Tete the credit he was due, He will be back. Hopefully he learns from this.

But Tete was inspirational last night his jab was excellent, so was his straight and he hid that uppercut perfectly and didnt use it too much, Butler didn't see it coming

 

Fantastic response to a horrible, snidey thread. The kind of mocking, kick a man while he's down rubbish that thrives in the general forum but is usually avoided in British and Classic.

 

Butler will be back but they defo overlooked tete, after party already booked. Don't understand him coming in 2lbs under the weight limit aswell. Should support our fighters all the way.

 

Cleverly kovalev was much worse, especially as cleverly was the champ and there were two other options

 

I said from the start that Tete would beat Butler. I wasn't impressed with his Stuey Hall performance and he struggled badly with Ash ***ton but got gifted a wide points decision. I don't get how you can be called a special talent when you've fought no one and been found out when you've stepped up.

 

I think Butler is a quality fighter but recent form hasn't been great. I expected him to completely outclass Hall but he found that one tough. Up until last night you might have put that down to the weight and as the post above states he had problems with Ashley ***ton as well.

The road to another World title wont come easy - especially with Naoya Inoue and Roman Gonzalez either in or around the weight as well.

 

I worked at the Hilton in Newcastle on the doors after he boxed Stuey Hall and he seemed to like the drink partying all night he was but in all fairness he had just won the title. I always think it is dangerous moving down a weight though.

I know he thought he was just moving up for a fight vs. Hall but when you're already boiling yourself down that much it's not wise to go up a few pounds and then back down.

 

The money fights are at Super Bantam so I don't know why he moved down another weight. He should have tried to make a few defences and then had a go at the higher weight if anything. Especially if he believed in himself.

 

Since when was he boiling himself to make SuperFly? He didnt 'Move down a weight' he moved up a weight, and since has just returned to his natural weight

He makes SuperFly relatively comfortable, he's even said himself before he could probably make Fly, he was small against Hall at Bantam and then moved back down to his natural weight of Superfly and yet you'd like him to step further out of his limit to go to SuperBantam? atsch:good

Butler lost to Hall and got a Fisheyes decision. He didn't look particularly good vs Hall and was found out last night.
