The irony of you stating "It's no surprise to find you here" on a thread in which you've criticized a BoxNation fighter and said he'd get destroyed by a Matchroom fighter isn't lost on us Sore-**** :good
Yeah, it is ridiculous for me to think a fighter who schooled Butler three times in the ams would beat him in the pros... You utter ****wit.
Even if they fought 3 times it still doesnt mean a great deal in the grand scheme of things. Butlers gone on to beat far better fighters and achieve far more. No disrespect to Yafai coz he's a sound lad and a decent fighter, but Butler is far ahead of him sa things stand. That's not the issue here though, its their respective promoters that that imbecile has a hardon over. Used to say Frampton would smash Quigg too IIRC :good:nut
Just watched the fight, it's on YouTube. First time I've seen Butler, I don't know what his preparation was like but he looked out of his depth and a bit amateurish, don't know how good this South African actually is. Anyone know who Butler sparred?
He underestimated Tete or overestimated his own ability. But Tete was very impressive. There are not many fighters at super fly that could hang with Tete - tall, powerful, southpaw, who that controls distance well and can both box and bang. That's a tough opponent! Butler just could not get near him and ate endless stiff shots trying. Butler will be back, he is still young and learning. He has talent, too. Can't help but like Butler. His ifl interview was class. Despite being humbled by a shocking and devastating KO, he comes across as modest and honest. Unlike most scousers he didn't moan and ***** in defeat (eg Paul Smith in Abraham I). That's decent.
Though i like Barry Jones he's been blowing smoke up Butlers **** for ages. He's not the 2nd coming of Hamed. Good fighter, will still do well but won't set world alight, and I never thought he would. At least nobodies said hell be a better boxer for this. He took a hammering as well as got a boxing lesson from a bigger guy and will take a rest now. And return a few levels below.
