"It has been a long road out of Joe Calzaghe's shadow for Froch. Now, with Calzaghe planning his farewell bout, the world is literally at his feet."

i'm a fan of Froch but that's more laughable stuff from McGuigan.
'world literally at his feet' my arse.
Kessler would be a heavy favourite over him.

he's just signed with itv. of course he's going to talk froch up.

good thing is that if he wins the wbc, its he'll finally get the chance to prove himself against the top fighters in the division.

maybe a unification fight with kessler down the road :p

Jeez Barry will say anything for a fiver. Anyone see him on celeb family fortunes? He looked gutted to miss out on £80 odd winnings.

Sure, Barry's a very charitable fellow...clearly. And if Pascal gets lucky, he will arguably definitely be the best SMW in the world.

McGuigan is totally right...it is arguable after all, and I count myself a fan of ol' big mouth Frochy.

This will be the biggest opportunity of his career to date. Time to shine, or crash 'n' burn?

He has a point it is arguable but in reality he is far from it.

He hasn't proved himself at world level yet and he has a lot to work on defensively for me.

At this moment in time I believe Kessler would win a wide UD over Froch.

I use to have a tried and tested formula for making boxing predcitions

Whatever Barry McGuigan said - just go with the opposite.

If he said this guy would win - go for the other guy.

If he said Naz was in for a tough night (Said Lawal) - you knew it was gonna be a easy night.

If he said Naz was in for a easy night (Manuel Medina) - you knew it was gonna be tough.

I think Kessler would UD Froch, pretty comfortably as well

    Froch: I'm gonna beat Pascal Sparta-Style !

"He knows the sort of fire-power I carry and I expect him to try and outbox me over the distance, as even he knows it would be suicide for him to get macho with the Cobra. Once I land, their game plan goes out the window, closely followed by their courage."

"At last they will see two genuine unbeaten, big-punching fighters. It's gonna be brutal and it's a good thing it will be after the watershed. When that opening bell rings, don't blink because there's gonna be some Cobra-bombs flying."
